Adults might think that Jungle Island is a little to touristy, but kids just love this place. You may find yourself having to duck for cover as there are hundreds of parrots, macaws and cockatoos flying around as well as peacocks and flamingos. There is a wide range of shows taking place almost continuously with the likes of stunt happy parrots and bicycle riding cockatoos to keep the kids amused. You will also find tortoises, iguanas and the rare albino alligator. If you’re into celeb spotting then keep your eyes peeled as Jungle Island is where some of the big name stars take their children.  If you are looking for family attractions in Florida you cannot go wrong with Jungle Island, its entertainment for the whole family.

Busch Gardens – Tampa Bay, Florida

Busch Gardens – Tampa Bay
This 335-acre family theme park has been drawing the crowds for decades with something to suit all ages. Whilst the great range of thrill rides, live entertainment, shops and restaurants draw most of the crowds, Busch Gardens also ranks as one of the top zoos in the U.S. There are several thousand animals living here in naturalistic environments which make for fascinating viewing. If you can drag the kids off the roller coasters they can discover what big cats and wild animals look like close up and personal.

Daytona International Speedway – Daytona Beach

The Daytona International Speedway is a must visit for anyone who has a love of cars and speed. At this state of the art facility you can take a tour behind the scenes to explore the garages, the press box, drivers meeting room and even take a walk down the victory lane. Experience the thrills of driving at 200mph in the DAYTONA 500 Experience simulator, a 60,000 square foot interactive motor sports attraction. You can also learn about the history of this speedway as well as the excitement of stock car, go-kart and motorcycle racing in Daytona.  If your family loves cars, and speed this another one of the many family attractions in Florida not to miss.

These are some great attractions in Florida that I never had the opportunity to see while living there. I was in the W. Palm Beach area. I have been to Disneyland and as far as the keys. I lived real close to Lion Country Safari and it is a most awesome place for families to visit as well. I am now wishing I was some place warm!!
