My husband and I were talking the other day, we have had a child in diaper for the past 4 years, and right about the time little Mattie is 100% done with them we will have another one. Without a good diaper that is a whole lot of diaper disasters.
My house has always been a madhouse, and we recently added to the madness. My 2-year-old niece started staying with us about two weeks ago, and form the looks of things she will be here for a while. I have tried talking to her, and she tells me she will start to use the big girl potty again next year (in Mattie talk it means when I am good and ready). Adjusting has been hard. I am going to go with it for a little bit, keep talking to her, and reassuring her she is still loved. Besides, my husband and I are planning to have another baby once we are finished building on to our home. She is going to have to get used to sharing mom and dad. I think it will be easier for her to understand and accept. She will be a little older, and have more time to adjust to the idea of having a younger sibling in the house.
Over the years I have tried several different kinds of diapers, but I can always trust the Huggies performance. Mattie is also old enough that she knows which diapers are comfortable, and which ones are not. She has no problem with telling you, or should I say taking them off right then and there. Which is understandable, who wants to wear anything uncomfortable, or even worse that gets wet and soggy in the middle of the night. NOPE, I do not blame her at all.
