Your Child Will Be Learning A Lifetime Of Healthy Habits With Strider Bikes! #GiftGuide

Bicycles have come a long way since I was a kid!! I can remember my bike had the metal training wheels, banana seat, plastic streamers, and regular playing cards in the spokes to make that cool motor sound. Of course things have changed, now days the balance bike is a big hit. With so many competitive companies out there, many different styles, models and price ranges, making a choice can become over whelming. Well not any more! Let me introduce to you Strider!

Here’s a little about Strider. This is their story, “Strider Sports International, Inc. designs efficient, no-pedal balance bikes that encourage Toddlers to ride, learn, and explore the world on two wheels. Founded in Rapid City, South Dakota, USA in January 2007, Strider Sports is a company full of passionate riders of dirt, mountain, street, and road bikes.  The goal of Strider Sports is to simplify a bike to its essence, so that proper size, weight and ease-of-use combine to eliminate any fear of riding; instilling confidence in young new riders.”

I just love Strider!! When I first saw Strider balance bikes I thought how cool are these! When you have a little one ready to start riding a bike for the first time you want them to be confident and safe! You can trust they will be with a Strider balance bike! I wish I used a Strider balance bike when teaching my grandson how to ride his bike. The first time we took the training wheels off he took a big fall. Needless to say he didn’t get back on it for a while, even then he was afraid until he got the hang of it. Strider bikes are especially designed for this purpose to help toddlers and young children learn balance and coordination before pedaling hence building confidence and eliminate the fear of falling. I love this!

Strider World Cup– This is a series of Strider races held throughout the year world-wide. In the USA these races are run by USA BMX. These races are designed to teach children 18 months to 5 years  sportsmanship, friendly competition and to test their skills with other Strider riders.

p style=”text-align: left;”>Healthy Kids Program- This is my personal favorite!! Strider knows that, especially for a child, therapeutic activities can feel like a chore, so they provide Health Care Organizations the opportunity to purchase Strider Bikes way below their usual cost. “With a Strider bike therapeutic activities and mobility exercises for these children become fun an exciting with out it feeling like a chore.”There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing a smile on an ill child face!!

This is so heart warming to me! I’m a retired hospice nurse and I can’t begin to tell you the many children I worked with on a therapeutic level. Assisting and encouraging these children could be challenging at times. What a fabulous incentive by using a Strider balance bike to assist these special children during their recovery and keeping them healthy while having fun!! Striders healthy Kids Program also supports several Daycares, every School, Hospital, and Children’s Health Care Organization by providing affordable Strider bikes, and fund-raising opportunities.
