I can honestly say I’ve never had a Christmas Tree up before Halloween. However, I’m not going to lie and tell you I didn’t enjoy creating the DIY Breast Cancer Awareness Bow Decorations and putting up our pink Christmas tree with the girls before Halloween. Truth be told, I enjoyed every second of it and the tree still looks amazing, and it’s dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness month. Putting up the tree opened up the topic of breast cancer for the kids. They had a lot of questions, and we were able to discuss breast cancer, so they had a better understand about the disease.
This year thanks to our partnership with the wonderful folks at Tree Classics the girls and I were able to spend a little quality time together putting up a pink Christmas tree to show our support. The girls and I were super excited to put the tree upand make our breast cancer DIY crafts to show our support for Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Rather than running out and purchasing a bunch of decoration we decided to spend a little time together crafting breast cancer bow decorations for our tree. Not only are they less expensive but making the pink bow decorations was great because I was able to spend time with my kids. Something we all need more of, especially now that the kids are in school all day.
- Hot Glue
- These are super easy to make just lay one end of the ribbon over the other leaving a loop at the top and put a dot of hot glue where the ribbon lays on top of one another.
Easy enough right? Almost as easy as it was to put up the Christmas tree, lol.
The wonderful folks at Tree Classics provided me with an excellent Pre-Lit Artificial Christmas Tree, and I LOVE it. I almost didn’t get a pre-lit tree, but I decided to go ahead and give it a shot! Man, I’ll never be going backward that is for sure.
NO WAY, talk about easy and convenient. It’s honestly the only part of the tree used to dread!
The most time-consuming part of the whole process was putting the decorations on the tree, and that was only because I had to sneak around behind my youngest daughter and spread them out a bit lol.
