One of my favorite memories is going to be a recent trip I made to see my great niece and great nephew. My great niece is only 17 months old and can say a few words. One of the wods she learned and I don’t know how she learned it lol, but “heaby” like heavy and she uses it in the correct way too. I guess she just heard people tell her that things were too heavy for her to pick up or carry. The day I went to see them, she was out in the backyard drawing with chalk on the patio (yes it;’s fine for her to do that, haha) I saw a little plasic slide out there so I asked her if she could slide down the slide for me. I guess she didn’t understand because she went over to the slide, stood by it, then touched it and looked at me and said “too heaby, too heaby” LOL I just thought that was soooooo cute… I think she thought I was asking her to bring the slide to me! hehe

My best memories are the summers that we spent together at the beach, I was just looking at some pictures the other day and just thinking that I though things was hard then (I was a single mother) but I would give anything to have those days back. But it’s time now to make those memories with my granchildren.

  19. Tiffany says

I absolutely LOVE watching my kids run and play on our trampoline (gone now :( ) and in the local splash parks. Their giggles are so precious!

  20. Erica M says

The power went out 2 summers ago due to something going bad in the meter box outside if the house. It took forever to get someone out to fix it, and of course it felt like it was the hottest day of the year! The house warned up quick so I took the kids outside. My daughter used to live for me to squirt her with the hose pipe, but when I suggested it that time, she said that it would make her look silly in front if her friends, that was for babies! So I borrowed the neighbors tarp they use to cover their boat! (They weren’t home as they had taken their boat out on the river) I went inside and grabbed the huge bottle if soap I had recently bought at Sams Club, and had the kids follow me to the back yard where we have a big hill. I laid that tarp down, squirted soap all over it, and squirted it down with the hosepipe! A HOMEMADE SLIP AND SLUDE! Needless to say, all the children in our area came over several times that summer to play on our awesome Slip and SLUDE! The neighbors eventually went out and bought an actual boat cover to fit their boat, as it protected it much better, not to mention they probably got tired if my daughter asking to borrow the tarp all the time! They gave us the tarp, and I will most likely be rolling it out in the back yard again before too long! The kids live it, and it only cost me what a big bottle if soap costs for a summer if fun!
