February Fitness | Fitbit One Wireless

I’m in week four of my fitness program and after battling a sinus infection, an ear infection and bronchitis I am not where I had planned. But, instead of getting discouraged I am looking on and finding ways to get back on track and catch up to where I need to be.

With the support of my family and my boyfriend and also the Fitbit One to keep me informed on my progress, I am able to get it done. I have been logging my food intake, my exercise and my sleep schedule and have determined a few things: I need to get better, deeper sleep, eat healthier meals and put more types of cardio in my workouts.

I had planned to up my cardio workouts with running and jumping rope with Speed Rope. I now realize that I also need to find other activities to add a bit more because heart health is very important.

And don’t forget, February is American Heart Health Month.  I received a Carrom Balance Board that I have assembled and discovered other workouts that help with my agility and gives me a great cardio workout. I am using my EcoWise Fitness Balance Disc Cushion as well.

I can get a cardio workout and an incredible abdominal workout too. Who knew balance was so important? With some practice and a couple tips from my niece, I was able to get a great workout using the balance board and found I was working muscles I didn’t realize I had!

Along with more cardio in my routine, I have to be sure that I am drinking plenty of water. Staying hydrated during my workouts is crucial. Staying hydrated throughout the entire day is just as important. Personally, I love water and prefer an ice cold glass of H2O over anything else.

But, it is nice to have a bit more flavor in our liquid intake. That’s why I’m so thankful to have had the chance to try out Flavour It Fruit Infuser by Adnart. Just slicing up some oranges and strawberries, tossing it into the infuser and chilling it in the fridge for a couple hours makes for a refreshing twist on plain water. The combinations of flavors are endless and definitely a welcome change.

Finally, now that I have kicked those infections to the curb, I am back on track for my February Fitness goals. It was a little hiccup and a challenge to get over the hump, but with all the great products available Staples, it made it easier and a ton of fun. I see many people get discouraged and lose motivation because their routines become monotonous and lack a challenge.

I added new challenges and changed my routine to keep my body guessing and to stop my workouts from becoming boring. So, let’s get out, get going and get our February Fitness into shape! #GetOutAndGo
