Fun Ideas for Halloween That Aren’t Unhealthy

by Jenn

With Halloween quickly sneaking up on us and becoming one of the biggest holidays in the United States the wonderful folks at Nestlé® Pure Life® are already on top of their game and gearing up for an excellent and spooktacular season! Do you find yourself preparing for Halloween earlier each year? Me too! It’s because Halloween isn’t a holiday that is celebrated for only a single night anymore, it’s become a season. It’s also a season filled with tons of sweets, so I decided to share a few fun things you can do with the kids that don’t involved candy or unhealthy treats.

Here are a few fun ideas for Halloween that you don’t have to worry about being unhealthy for your kids, or you for that matter. I don’t know about you, but I love Halloween. It’s a great holiday and the time of year couldn’t be better, it’s cooled off enough to enjoy being outside with family and friends and here are a few activities you can do to keep things a little bit healthier.

The Halloween Mason Jar Lanterns are probably not something I would want the younger children helping with, just because there is spray painting involved, but I couldn’t leave them out.  They are one of my favorite decorations.  They are quick and easy to make and look kind of cool on the porch or in the house for Halloween.

My sister started making these Floating Tree Ghosts with my kids a few years back.  Man, they love them and always look forward to their aunty Rema coming over to help them put the ghosts in the tree for Halloween.

This is my youngest daughter’s favorite craft for Halloween. These Glow In The Dark Eyes look pretty impressive at night when we put them outside in our big tree.

My kids love spaghetti; a few extra minutes turns a meal they love into something a whole lot more fun.

Halloween is often associated with CANDY! However, it’s important we remember to make drinking water fun too. It’s hard to make drinking water more fun than NESTLÉ® PURE LIFE® already has with their fun limited edition “Share-a- Scare™” 8 ounce bottles. Rather than try and do something with the bottles of NESTLÉ® PURE LIFE® I decided to turn my counter into a fun Halloween water bar with a few fun non-candy treats like spider rings, Halloween pencils, spooky straws, and of course Nestle Pure Life water with spooktacular bottles.

Water is my beverage of choice all year around, and I’m lucky to have children who love water as much as I do, but let’s get real for a moment. It must be hard for kids, even the ones who love water not to want all the unhealthy junk that is available with fun Halloween designs. I remember being a kid; I loved all the fun Halloween packaging.

NESTLÉ® PURE LIFE® limited edition “Share-a- Scare™” 8-ounce bottles come in 8 8 different Halloween-inspired designs  that make staying hydrated a little more fun this Halloween season for the whole family.

NESTLÉ® PURE LIFE® believes that water doesn’t need to be boring! I agree, especially because it is an essential part of life that helps keep our families hydrated.  Keeping water fun means the kids are going to want more of it.  Thankfully NESTLÉ PURE LIFE is thinking outside the box and making water more than just a healthy choice; they’re making it fun, EVEN FOR THE HALLOWEEN SEASON!

I can honestly say this is one of the first times I have seen anyone try to make water fun for Halloween and I love it.  Halloween is filled with activities like school parties, family gatherings, and even Day of the Dead celebrations and NESTLÉ® PURE LIFE® has taken an extra step to help make hydration part of the celebrations with their awesome “Share-a-Scare” 8-ounce bottles.
