Three Tips to Help Keep You Hydrated This Summer

Being a mom of four, it’s hard not to have an active lifestyle, especially when your hobby is riding horses.  If I’m not running kids from point A to point B, I’m doing chores around the house, working out, walking or working with my horses.  Spending time with my horses whether I’m riding working on ground exercises with them in my happy place.  It’s my time to just escape from reality and think of nothing from the outside world.  It’s the one place I can let go of all the stress from the outside world and just live for the moment.  I’ve loved being around horses since I can remember and it’s definitely a love that has never faded.  I’m thankful I’m in a position where I am able to continue doing what I love.

 Everything You Want Is On The Other Side Of FearMy kids have taken a liking to horseback riding and rodeos too!  Which I think is awesome, it wasn’t that easy for any of us I will admit.  However, both my girls faced their fears of falling off, and both learned what I meant when I told them “Everything you want is on the other side of fear.”  Being on the back of a horse is such a magical experience, and when you run into that special horse, it makes everything else on the other side of fear worth every last moment you spend scared.

Now I not only get to have my alone time and disconnect from the world when I need to, but I also get to spend time with my girls doing something we all love.  It’s awesome, I get to spend time teaching the how’s and why’s of the horse world.  It’s such a special place for us all, I’m truly blessed to be able to share my love for horses with my kids.  I hope it’s something they are able to carry on and share with their children.

Over the years I’ve learned a few tricks to keep myself and my loved ones hydrated during the summer months here are my top three:

  • Routine

I normally wake up and drink my cup of coffee but after that I’m all about drinking something that keeps me hydrated.  Typically I stick with water unless I’m outside sweating or getting my workout on then I turn to a sports drink like BODYARMOR LYTE.
