How Has The Windows 8 Smartphone #HTC8X Enhanced My Life? #Troop8x

htc 8x live tilesI cannot believe it, how time fly’s when you’re having fun.  I have to admit I’m a total tech geek, I love anything that makes my life a little easier, more fun, and makes me feel more connected.  Over the past few weeks you’ve followed me as I reviewed my Windows HTC 8X smartphone.  If you have followed you already know how much I love it.

What’s not to love?  I love that I can get apps that help me show off my personal style as well as my family and friends, take great pictures, know my child will not call China when she plays with my phone, download tons of awesome apps that make my life easier, create awesome playlists that I can sync to my computer, and network like a crazy person.  Yes, I love the networking side of it.  I’m a blogger, it’s what I do.   Social media is extremely important to me, in my line of work I have to be able to have access while on the go as well.

I was asked today how my HTC 8X Windows 8 Smartphone has enhanced my life, what features I cannot live without, and how I feel about the camera.  WOW, all those questions means I get to share even more great things about my phone with you.

Let’s talk about the camera first…. How awesome is the camera?  Personally I love it, and I don’t remember the last time I actually picked up my real camera for a picture.  The camera on my HTC 8X does the job, and does it well.  All the pictures you’ve seen on my blog over the past few weeks, yes you guessed it-taken with my HTC 8X phone.  How does having a camera on my phone make life easier?  How does it not?  Now rather than getting my camera out, making sure it’s charged, moving pictures from my camera to my computer.  All I have to do is snap a few, BAM HTC 8X does the rest.  Automatically downloads to my SkyDrive.  I grab and post to my blog, it’s really that easy.  Not to mention when I take pictures of the kids, everything is safe in my SkyDrive.  I simply dread taking pictures off my camera and downloading them to my computer.  I know it’s easy, but it just seems like its wasted time.  Especially now that life is made easy…

What features can I not live without?  HUMM, well for one the camera-which you know why.  Another would be the SkyDrive, it’s wonderful and makes life so much easier, gives me peace of mine my pictures are safe, and saves me time.  You already knew these were features that I enjoy, is there others?  You know it!

temporary_zps0c8e31c9Live Tiles – They rock, what else can I say?  I have done some pretty fun stuff personalizing my phone.  LOL, yes that is a unicorn eating glitter on my phone!  There’s awesome apps that allow you to pin things off your calendar and take personalizing your phone to another level.  Give your favorite people, songs, websites, games, pictures, documents, and more their own pin on your start screen.  Make life easy, simply tap your pin and you’re in.

Slim Comfortable Design – You have to hold the phone in your hand to know what I mean, it just fits.  I have never thought about a phone being comfortable until holding the HTC 8X.

Beats Audio – You have to hear it for yourself to fully appreciate what HTC 8X has one with such a small device the sound is extremely powerful, crisp and clear.

Battery Life – Still getting used to my phone lasting more than 12 hours on one charge.

Software – The HTC 8X Windows 8 Smartphone rocks!  Really, if you have not upgraded yet I think you’ll be happy with Windows 8 on both your HTC 8X and PC.

Rooms – This is a great feature for our family.  It allows us to communicate with just people in our group about who is picking the kids up, stopping by the store after work, or anything else we might need.  This keeps all of us in the loop, allows us to share notes, to-do lists, calendar, pictures, and chat it up all in our little room.

Mommy approved – It’s kid proof!  I love the kid’s corner.  My kids always want to play with mom’s phone, now they have their own little area that’s easy to access and allows them to play with apps, games, listen to music, watch videos, which I approve.

Take it all – SkyDrive is with me at all times, I have access to my pictures, videos, and office documents.  Regardless of where I am as long as I have my HTC 8X phone.

– This comes on my pone and syncs to SkyDrive as well.  Which means my notes are always handy, I don’t carry around a notebook anymore, I use OneNote.

Wallet – I have just started using this to keep track of my coupons, credit cards, deals, and more.  Its password protected, I can also stay up to date with my card balances and other great info.

My favorite two features!

Word Flo Keyboard – It’s been a long time since I have been able to send a text message without wanting to bang my head against the wall.  I love that the keyboard on the HTC 8X works.  The Word Flo Keyboard also learns to predict the next word you’re going to type.  This is a great feature for all you super texters out there, I personally love it for sending emails.

Speech – I’ve had this feature on phones in the past, but learning to use them was too much work.  I know right, can you say lazy?  With the Speech feature on the HTC 8X you can make a call, launch an app, take notes, search online, send texts, and so much more.  I love that I can take a note, I used to carry around a notebook for those times when I had a bright idea.  It doesn’t happen often so when it does I need to write it down, or better yet now I can just say it!
My HTC 8X Windows 8 Smartphone – HTC 8X phone has enhanced my life in several different ways.  I look forward to sharing more with you over the next few months.

Have you upgraded to an HTC 8X yet?  If so let me know what your favorite feature is, and if not what do you think you will enjoy most about owning a HTC 8X Windows 8 Smartphone?

were impressed with the quality of the 8-megapixel camera in the phone. The lens is f2.0, 28mm, and backside-illuminated, and I found it took great shots even in low lighting
