It is so strange because I am of German heritage but I LOVE just about anything Italian, including Spaghetti and meatballs, Italian bread with olive oil, bread dipping herbs and Aceto Balsamico di Modena. The Olive Tap has the best Extra Virgin Olive Oils and Bread Dipping Herbs I have ever tasted.

Little Italy Sampler
Oh! I was so excited when I received this package because I knew I would be in seventh heaven. I immediately baked a baguette to try the Bread Dipping Herbs with the olive oil and Aceto Balsamico. And I was right and trying to stay within my calorie count for the day, I only ate half the small loaf of bread. I know what you are thinking! A baguette is French – true but it too is one of my favorite things in life. It could easily been a loaf of Italian bread but they are usually much larger than a baguette.
But let’s talk about the products rather than my choice of breads. The Olive Tap works with producers from around the world choosing only the highest quality products including Extra Virgin Olive Oils and Balsamic Vinegars, a variety of seasonings and gourmet food. I thought the best way to talk about The Olive Tap was to give you a couple of recipes using The Olive Tap Extra Virgin Olive Oils and Vinegars.
Farmers Market Pasta
Your favorite pasta
1 cup slice mushrooms
Olive Tap Garlic Olive Oil
Olive Tap Hot Pepper Olive Oil
1 small onion, chopped
1 cup asparagus or green beans, cut
1 cup cauliflower florets
1 yellow squash, sliced
1 red or green pepper, sliced
1 cup carrots, sliced or shredded
2 tomatoes, coarsely chopped
3 tbsp. flat parsley, finely chopped
Cook pasta “al-dente.”
Coat frying pan with Garlic Olive Oil. Add a few drops of the Hot Pepper Oil to taste. Saute onion for 2-3 min. Add mushrooms and saute 2 minutes. Add asparagus/green beans, cauliflower florets, squash, pepper and carrots. Cover and cook 3-4 min. Add
tomato, and salt & pepper. Cook for 1 minute.
Serve over pasta. Top with parsley and Parmigiano and serve immediately.

Marie’s Italian Potato Salad
8 large red potatoes
2/3 cup The Olive Tap Italiano Extra Olive Oil
½ cup Champagne Pear Balsamic Vinegar from The Olive Tap
1/3 cup chopped fresh parsley
Boil potatoes for about 25 minutes. Drain, cool, and slice potatoes. In large bowl, combine Italiano, Champagne Balsamic, and parsley. Add potatoes and toss to coat.
