We all get pressed for time once in a while and when you are in a hurry and need to get supper on the table before you leave for basketball practice or dance class, it’s great to have easy to fix nutritious meals in 30 minutes or less using Keystone All Natural Canned Meats.
Keystone All Natural Canned Meats sent me a 14.5oz can of Chicken and a 14.5oz can of Beef for me to create perfect recipes for the purpose of this review.
I have over the years, purchased a variety of canned meats but really didn’t care for them as a whole until I tried Keystone Canned Meats. My first choice was to try the chicken which was all white meat, tender and juicy. I wanted to try a new recipe using the Keystone All Natural 98% Fat Free Canned Chicken and my goal was 30 minutes or less. I found a recipe that was going to work perfectly.
Chicken & Dumplings with Broccoli
1 14.5oz can Keystone All Natural 98% Fat Free Chicken
1 can Cream of Chicken & Mushroom Soup
6 frozen biscuits or small tube of refrigerated biscuits
¾ cup water
1½ Cup Broccoli or other vegetable like corn or green beans
Open can of Keystone All Natural Chicken and empty into saucepan, flake chicken into smaller chunks. Add can of soup and ¾ cup of water mix well. I did not drain the chicken. Now you can do everything in the sauce pan or you can place the mixture into a casserole dish for baking. I chose the casserole baking because I added broccoli and my husband does not like broccoli and I needed to keep it separated.
Once you decide how you want to cook it, cut the biscuits into quarters and place on top of chicken/soup mixture then add your choice of vegetable. Cook on top of stove for 20 minutes over medium heat with a lid or in a casserole dish at 375º oven for 5-30 minutes until biscuits are lightly browned on top. Serve with your choice of salad and bread for a hearty meal.
Keystone All Natural Canned Chicken is fully cooked, 98% Fat Free, has no water added and no artificial ingredients. A 2oz. serving has only 60 calories, 12g Protein, 100mg Sea Salt and only 1g fat. This would be perfect for quick chicken salad sandwiches as well.
Another recipe that would be great is Beef and Homemade Noodles. Homemade noodles are fairly easy to make and can be made in advance and stored in the freezer or refrigerator until time to use.
Beef and Homemade Noodles
1 14.5oz. can Keystone All Natural Beef
1 Large egg
½ All-purpose flour – you will need extra for rolling out dough
1 Tablespoon milk
1 Cup Beef broth
Whisk egg, milk and salt. Gradually add flour until dough forms a ball. Place on floured surface and roll out dough turning it to keep covered with flour so dough does not stick to surface. Once you have rolled the dough out, use a pizza cutter to cut dough into strips the size of noodles. Let dry.
Open the can of Keystone All Natural Beef and place in saucepan along with Beef broth. Do not drain. Break meat into bitesize pieces and heat on medium high until hot and boiling. Gradually add noodles a few at a time stirring while you add noodles. When all the noodles are added, reduce heat to a simmer to allow noodles to continue to cook until done. This might take a few minutes depending on how thick the noodles are. This would be another quick 30 minutes or less meal if you had the noodles done or you could buy noodles from your favorite grocery store.
