Super Buddies #Review! What Super Power Would Your Puppy Have?

by Jenn

Good quality kids movies are hard to come by anymore, which is why I’m such a fan of Disney!  I have four kids, and I’m a strict mom when it comes to TV.  They are only allowed to watch so much, play so many games, and I’m not going to allow my kids to watch half the junk that’s on TV these days.  Thankfully Disney has always been on my side!

Disney movies, Disney channel, and recently we fell in love with Disney’s Super Buddies on Blu-ray!  I received it last week to review so I can give all of you the inside scoop of what to expect from these crazy pups!  Man, it’s good too!  It wasn’t just the kids kicking back enjoying it-dad and mom jumped in as well.  We ended up warming up some leftovers rather than cooking dinner, and starting the movie over so we could all watch it together.  I love it when that happens, especially since we are back in school, and typically we are busy in the evenings.  It’s always nice to take a breather and enjoy the family.

It’s right around the corner – Disney’s Super Buddies releases on Blu-Ray Combo Pack on Tuesday August 27th, 2013!  I don’t think you will be disappointed either!

Many of you know my son has cerebral palsy.  Now don’t get me wrong he digs certain movies, but it’s very few movies grab his attention.  Typically he enjoys musicals, such as Teen Beach, and Justin Bieber.  Yes, I said it and yes we watched it for an entire summer too.  Shhh, I had to hide it I couldn’t handle any more of it.  THREE MONTHS of Bieber Fever is too much!

Anyway, sorry I was getting a little off track!  BUD has decided to let Teen Beach rest for a bit, because he now loves Super Buddies.  When I say he loves it I mean we have been watching it ever since I put it on last week.  Which is totally okay with me, I think it’s a great kid’s movie.  My daughter Madisyn is getting a little jittery because she hasn’t been able to dance to Teen Beach in the past two day’s lol.  Either way they are both good movies, but I have to admit I’m glad Teen Beach Movie is taking a breat.  I don’t know if I could handle to many more Teen Beach dreams.

Disney’s Super Buddies is One of Those Movies!

Disney’s Super Buddies is one of those movies that make you wish you’re pup had super powers, and could talk.

WP_20130819_003I layed down to watch the moive with my Super Skittles!

IMG_0651I was imagining Skittles, my pitbull with super powers.  First off what would his super power be?  I’m pretty sure he would just want thumbs so he could drive the truck to McDonalds to see those nice people who always hook him up with a chicken nugget lol.

Piper's Super PowersThen we have Piper, our yellow lab who’s still looking for her belly button so I don’t know if she needs super powers.  I’m kind of sacred she would hurt someone.  I love her to death, but she isn’t the brightest crayon in the box.  Sweetest yes, smartest no lol

Noodles Super PowerOMG, and finally we have Noodles the Rotty.  If the name does say it all.  Maybe her super powers would keep her from falling everywhere she goes.  I know Noodles super power would be bouncy!  it’s just fits!

Disney’s Super Buddies is a Great Kids Movie!

Do I have you wondering what’s so great about this movie yet?  Well have you see the any of the other Disney Buddies movies?  In my opinion they have all been great, but this one is by far my favorite.  The kids agreed as well.  My husband still likes Space Buddies better, but he’s just odd like that lol.

I highly recommend watching this fun, furry film.  If you have watched any of the other Buddies movies from Disney than you’re going to love Super Buddies, only this time you’ll be experiencing a NEW breed of Buddies in Disney’s fun filled epic adventure.

Meet the Super Buddies Gang:

Can anyone resist these super cute pups dressed as super hero’s?  Not me, especially after watching the pups, and getting to know them.

The Buddies find five mysterious rings during Bartelby’s birthday treasure hunt, then the fun begins when the Buddies gain super powers and things suddenly get out of this world in Fernfield!  The Buddies learn that Budderball’s all time favorite comic books, Captain Canine and Kid Courages are based on real super hero and villains.  The Buddies find that they need to use their new super powers to battle the evil Commander Drex.   The Buddies and their kids learn that you don’t need super powers to be a super hero!

I’m only going to share one more thing about the movie ……

The Super Buddies Super Powers!

  • Budderball loves food, and the comic book hero, Capitan Canine.  You’ll notice Budderball’s super power is Super Strength, and boy he’s strong.
  • Rosebud is the mature chick of the bunch, and she sports the “Girl Power” in this movie.  You will see her racing all over the place with her Super Speed.
  • Buddha is the calm, and wise pup.  It’s no surprise his super power is Super Mind Control.
  • Mud Bud – If the name doesn’t say it all!  He loves to get downright dirty, and his green ring gives him the power of Super Invincibility.
  • B-Dawg is my son’s favorite and it’s not wonder with his Super Stretchy Powers…

The pups are so cute, funny, and you cannot help but love them.  Super Buddies also sends a powerful message about teamwork, and friendship.  Super Buddies is a  must-own movie event packed with laughter, action, and incredible new characters, Super Buddies proves when you use your wits and work together, you don’t need super powers to be a super hero!

I cannot recommend watching Super Buddies enough, especially if you enjoyed the other Buddies movies.  Don’t forget Super Buddies is releasing on Blu-ray Combo Pack on August 27th!

Have you watched any of the other Buddies movies?  If so which one is your favorite and why?

My puppy would have the Super Powers to Heal & Comfort those who are sick with illness or are disabled. He would also have the Super Powers to be Compassionate & to bring those who are Mean & Nasty to being a very Loving, Caring Person. Hw would also have the Super Powers to Heal with just a Touch & a Look.

Disney is fairly consistent, and this film looks like it’s keeping the trend.

Your dogs are adorable! ^.^

I have a 15 week old Great Pyrenees Puppy. My puppy’s super power is lazy! LOL. He still sleeps sa lot. He gets tired a lot, he’ll be running with the kids and just plop down where he is and take a nap. Im sure he won’t always be that way. I’m sure he is just tired from all the fast growing. For now I think I’ll call him: Sir Loaf A Lot, haha. It sure does fit.
