Weekly Nutrisystem Review – #NSNation Week 21

dieting apple Weekly Nutrisystem Review - #NSNation Week 21Hi everyone, just a quick update on my road down Nutrisystem lane.  Things are going AWESOME! Really, I am down 25 pounds since I started, and I seriously can feel it.  I feel my confidence coming back as well.  It’s amazing how much 25 pounds really is, you know we don’t think it’s a whole lot.  BUT IT IS!  I can feel the difference in my clothing, which has really pushed me to become even more motivated. I leave on Friday for LA.  Most of you already know, I will be visiting Flo the Progressive girl, lol.  I know it’s pretty corny, but I am super excited.  I don’t watch a lot of TV, but I do always stop to watch her funny commercials   My husband also says she reminds him of me, lol.  Something about being goofy, lol.  He’s got to be kidding.. Not really, lol.  Okay, it’s time to get back on track. If you’re wondering where I was going with that, I am actually kind of worried about traveling like that and sticking to my diet.  One totally awesome thing about Nutrisystem is, I know I can toss breakfast, lunch and dinner into my suitcase and be okay.  However, I don’t know if I am going to want to eat my Nutrisystem food while we’re out being tourists in Hollywood!  I have thought about it, and here is my plan. I will allow myself to eat out once a day.  I am going to assume this will be dinner.  I will remember, it’s all about proportions and choosing something that is good for you.  Rather than choosing a hamburger with fry.  I can order an awesome salad, maybe even a small stake too!  I know I will be just fine, I think I am worried because I am to a very motivated point, and I don’t want to do anything wrong.  I want to stay on the Nutrisystem plan until all my extra weight is gone.  While I still have plenty more to go, I know I can do it this way.  I have finally found something that works for me, that allows me to actually eat food that I enjoy. It’s so easy to put on those few extra pounds, yet so hard to take them off.  If I have learned anything on my venture with Nutrisystem it’s how important eating the correct portion is.  I have to admit it’s nice getting to satisfy my sweet=tooth with my daily desert.  I have to admit, I really look forward to the dessert.  I have my favorites, and ALL THE ICE CREAM IS AWESOME!  In the end it’s really about ONLY consuming what your body needs.  I have to thank Nutrisystem for teaching me so much.  I still have a way to go, but I am confident that Nutrisystem can get me there. For those of you thinking about trying Nutrisystem, I do recommend it.  I have tried several different diets in the past, and they have all failed me.  Nutrisystem has been an easy transformation for me, and I feel that I have changed my eating habits for good.  Not just until my diet is over. This week I am happy to let you know, I am down 25 pounds!  Because I am packing, and my daughter actually cut up my measuring tape I cannot share my measurements with you.  I will be sure to grab me another measuring tape when I return from Hollywood and share my great success with you. This week, I am ending with a 22 pound weightless, cheated on my diet, but wasn’t able to eat even close to half of my yummy burger. Now, if that’s not progress, I don’t know what is! Thanks Nutrisystem for helping me become healthier, and starting me off on the right road to a skinnier more healthy me. I am 25 pounds lighter and loving ever second of it. I cannot wait for next week.

Way to go! @5 pounds is a BIG deal! I need to loose about 35 pounds and have thought about Nutri-system. I’ll have to check out their prices and see if I can fit it into my budget. :)

  4. Maddie K. says

Congrats on the weight loss. I have to say that I once lost 100 pounds on Nutrisystems, but it was when it was very stict and they checked your urine to see if you were in ketosis. I cheated some but still lost a boat load of weight. I like NS much more now. Better food, not so depriving. Keep it up hon and you will be where you want to be soon enough.

  5. Krista Grandstaff says

Wow! That’s awesome, congrats on the 25lb loss! I often wondered if Nutrisystem really worked or if the people on tv were just paid to say it does… now I know, thanks for sharing!

  7. Vikki Cousin says

Awesome, Jenn, you’re doing great, and you can eat all the raw food, and juices that you want, and you will never have to go hungry while losing weight.

Congrats on the weight-loss! I have always wanted to try nutrisystem but I was always hesitant because I was not sure if it would work. It is reassuring to hear that results can be achieved using this weight loss system. :)

  11. lisa says

I’ve always been afraid of diet foods thinking they’d be bland. This program sounds pretty good.

  12. Rosemary M says

Its good to hear that Nutrisystem works! Congrats on the weight loss and contunued success to you. Its important to learn proper portions and apparently Nutrisystem teaches you that. I use tricks like never eating off a dinner plate, I use a salad plate. If I have ice cream, I put it in a wineglass. Its portion control and makes it more special at the same time!

  13. katherine cano says

First of all I wanted to commend you on trying out something out of the box for weight loss, I always thought about nutrisystem but wasn’t sure. How is the food really, the portions? Did you also exercise a lot while being on nutris or no? just curious because I really want to try… Congratulations on losing the 25 lbs!!!

  14. jeannette woods says

Congradulations I have been trying to loose weight on my own since I cannot afford to go to any place for help I just wish I could even afford to go to curves and work out to help loose weight be proud of yourself it is very hard to do and you are doing wonderful.

  15. Alison King says

That’s wonderful that you’ve found something that works for you. 25 lbs is a lot of weight, and it makes you feel so different–that’s how much I lost, too, on WW. I think we’re so used to these dramatic stories of 100+lb weight loss (which, don’t get me wrong, is a HUGE accomplishment) that we can feel like losing 25, or 10, or 5 is somehow not as significant. It took me from a size 16 down to a size 8, though, so I know that 25 lbs does a lot! Not to mention how great you feel!

Your plan when you travel is a great one. It’s good that your ultimate goal is to use NutriSystem until you lose your weight because it means you’re training yourself to eat better, not to rely on their products. The fact is, you can eat real food and still maintain/lose. You’re right on the money with portions–that’s what will get you every time. After a while, though, you realize that one scoop of ice cream tastes just as good as 3 (because really, after a while, your tongue is so frozen you can’t even taste it anymore!) Congrats on this great accomplishment, keep up the great work, and don’t beat yourself up if you mess up and eat more than you think you should. Just accept it, learn from it, and move on!

  16. says

Congratulations twenty five pounds is Great I do not know how you have done it beside the food must really be satisfactory where you do not get hungry later or desire sweets like I would . Thank you. Jerri Davis

  17. Maddie K. says

You are doing great! Keep it up and be good while you are away. The one thing that I can tell you from losing 275 pounds is that you need to drink a lot of water. Being even slightly dehydrated will make you “feel” hungry even if you are not.

  18. says

25 pounds is amazing! Congratulations! I have been intrigued by the Nutrisystem and when I see their commercials I wonder if REAL people can do it. It nice to know they can! :)

  19. Jennifer Mae Hiles says

Keeping to a diet on vacation is so hard. Wish you the best of luck. Can’t wait to hear about your visit with Flo!

  20. Cheyenne P says

Congrats on your going success! That’s amazing! Kudos for sticking with eating right! I swear that’s always been the toughest part for me.

  21. Toni Holbrook aka:Native Heart says

Way to GO!!!!! Congrats! :) also I would like to mention as pretty as the pink writing is I find it almost impossible to read :(

  22. Jo-Ann Brightman says

I think 25 lbs. is a trmendous amount of weight to lose. Congratulations. I am sure you shallcontinue to do well. I too like Flo from the commercials

  23. Rosie says

congratulations and have fun on your trip. 25 lbs is a lot! If you think about it, even 5 lbs is a lot, if you had to carry a 5 lb bag of potatoes all day (um not including our 10 lb pocketbooks!!) it would seem like a hardship, and you’d be glad to put it down. and how much more for 25 lbs! Yeaah!!!

  24. marthalynn says

Congratulations on the progress! I love that you have changed your eating habits for good. That is the true sign of success. Keep up the good work!

  25. Fee (Phyllis) Roberts says

That is great Jenn! Congrats! There are always a few things you can do when out dining. You can try drinking a glass of water with a squeeze of lemon or lime and it helps fill you a bit before dinner. If you choose a salad and don’t like it plain you can ask for a side of oranges if the restaurant has them or chopped apples. It really gives your salad a really good flavor without all the calories of dressing. You can also ask if you can get order from the lunch menu, it’s half the food of dinner. A lot of restaurants won’t let you do it but I always tell them I’m diabetic(which I not but they don’t know that!) and can only eat so much food. They will usually cave in and let me! Hope these help and have a great time =D
