Happy New Year’s Resolution! Most of you know I’m on a mission to lose weight, and keep it off. This year I wanted to try something new! I decided dig around on App Social for Windows Phone apps to help lose weight, and keep it off, and WOW. Let’s just say I was amazed at how many Windows Phone apps for weight loss, diet apps, apps to track weight loss, workout apps, food apps, recipe apps, well you get the picture.
I found some really great Windows Phone apps to help anyone looking to lose weight, eat better, become more healthy, and just about anything else. That’s what I love about technology, everything is at our finger tips! On those days I just want to say forget the diet, I pull up my phone and read an inspirational quote and it picks me up. Now that I am ready to put my diet into overdrive I have TONS of great diet apps at my finger tips. I’m also really excited to start using some of them. I found tons, but am only sharing 17 with you today! If you want to find something different be sure you are a part of the App Social community, you will find apps that you didn’t know were out there. Ones that really make a difference, and it gets better too – you can share those apps with other people in the App Social community and help them discover new apps too! Anyway, I have been doing some research with my trusty Nokia Lumia, and a super awesome app called App Social! Thanks to App Social I have found tons of great diet apps, and apps to track weight loss, workout apps, and well all kinds of goodies! Check them out, and let me know what you think…
MyFitnessPal – This is a diet app has everything anyone trying to lose weight needs. There is even a massive food database. It also remembers some of your favorite foods, which makes inputting them over and over super easy. MyFitnessPal is an easy app to use way to track pretty much everything you need to – calories, and exercise. You can also become active in the MyFitnessPal community for those times when you have questions or need a little exta support.
7 Minute Workout – This is a great weight loss app. Enjoy 12 popular exercise workouts that can help you when you are in a hurry, or just getting in the swing of things. According to the app in as little as 7 minutes a day you can be on your way to reaching your fitness goal. It’s been features in the New York Times and Huffington Post, Yahoo and Life Hacker. If you’re New Year’s Resolution is to lose weight you might want to check it out.
Active Fitness – This app has more than 300,000 users, so it must be great right! Active Fitness helps by tracking health, fitness, and activities and allowing you to share them via social networks. There is a leaderboard to help keep you motivated, and you will even find professionally designed training plans to help you are on your journey.
Diet Points Manger – If you’re thinking of starting Weight Watchers than you might want to try this app. It calculates daily allowances by using points based on your age, weight, and more. You can even calculate workout points. I haven’t used the app too much, but my sister has been doing weight watchers and this is her go to app, and for only $2.99 it’s worth trying for free.
Diet Assistant – If you are like me, having a visual helps keep you motivated on days that you just want to toss in the towel. Diet Assistant lets you track your progress by recording weights week by week, and actually have a visual to see your progress over time.
BMI Check – We all want to know out BMI, and this app can help you measure the percentage of body fat, and is used to estimate a healthy body weight based on your heights.
Belly Flattening Foods – I don’t know about you, but if there are foods out there that can help me have a flatter belly I want to know. This is a great app that helps you learn about some tummy flattening foods.
12 Days of Fitness – This is an app that helps you have and keep a routine workout. If you are like me something like this is great to get you started. AFter about 12 days I am ready to come up with my own routine, but it’s nice to have a fitness app to get you started.
Smoothie Recipes – When I’m dieting I love to drink Smoothies. I found this smoothie recipe app, and it has more than 150 yummy smoothie recipes broke into three categories. If you like Smoothies check it out.
Low Carb – If you are going low carb than you might consider using this diet app. There are plenty of low carb recipes in this app, I’m sure you will find something that is tasty.
Weight Challenge – This is an easy to use weight lose app that allows you to set your target weight, and date to challenge yourself to reach the goal you are setting for yourself. Track your calorie intake, exercise and more. You’ll also get motivational feedback to keep you on the right path.
1 Week Diet Plan – I have not used this app, but thought it sounded really neat. I’m going to give it a try. The app tells you what to eat to stay within a 1200 calorie diet. Sounds good to me, makes it easy to get in the swing of things, and see what type of foods you can eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Diet Secrets – Some of the tips you might already be aware of, but you never know where you will find the one that works. Check it out, you never know.
Yoga & Health – You will find yoga poses to fit your fitness needs. Each program can have several poses, and every pose comes with a description and step by step instructions.
Runtastic PRO – Looking for a personal fitness partner? Why not your smartphone, the two of you are always together.. Use this fitness app for walking, running, hiking, riding your bike, and plenty more activities. Enjoy features like GPS, records time, distance, burned calories, speed, and more. Enter your workouts, and so much more. If you are looking for something to help you track your activities be sure to swing by and check it out. Oh, before I forget it offers real-time tracking which I thought was pretty neat.
Daily Yoga for Abs – If you are looking for flatter apps be sure to check out this yoga app. Has great ratings, I just downloaded for my jump into 2014. It’s worth a shot right!
iWorkout Lite – You can manage and track your workouts, and use iWorkout Lite’s huge data base with more than 200 exercises. Pictures and descriptions are included with each workout, along with charts to track your progress.
