Very interesting article! Too bad I cant rely on waking up by my internal alarm clock or I’d be late to work:/
LOL ME TOO! I normally I do wake before my alarm clock but too scared to rely on it
Thank you for posting this!! I am having a horrible time sleeping the past few months. I will have to try these suggestions tonight! 🙂
well, lets see if this works
Hah #1 is my biggest problem, consistency! I work part time so I have a lot of time to do stuff but than I get distracted & before I know it the day is gone & I didn’t get hardly anything I wanted to done. I just need to focus more on making a schedule & sticking to it.
Those are all good tips. Easier said than done but possible. I had my husband totally cover our bedroom window so it’s constantly dark. That seems to help me.
Thank you for this checklist, I do MOST of the things on the list. The one thing I need to do is invest in a comfortable mattress, probably the most important thing on the list.
Exellent tips! One other thing I’d recommend if you have trouble falling asleep is to practice meditation before trying to fall asleep.
so much fun reading your blog,
I am bad with my energy drinks! I work nights and I feel I have to have one when I get off work, and then I am up late.. I have been trying not to do that on my nights off, to get into the habit.
All good advice. I have a problem with the quiet part though, as my bedroom overhangs an 8 lane highway. It’s the motorcycles that make me want to open the window and scream, “MIDASIZE IT!!!”
We have sleep problems here at our house! We are still trying to find out what is causing my husbands extreme restless sleep. It is none of the above unfortunately, I wish it was that easy to fix!
Such good ideas…I only wish I could follow some of them. Caffeine is a hard one for me to “give up”…exercise is nothing more than running after the 5 kids I DO have 24/7. The comfy bed, bedding & pillow sounds divine, but those require money that we can’t afford right now. Maybe someday….
We do have sleep issues around here! We are still trying to find out what is causing my husbands restless sleep!
