Well folks, the time has come. Then end of the Home30 Challenge with the Philips Airfryer has arrived. It was quite the experience and definitely a learning time. It was great being able to cook leaner meals more quickly in the Philips Airfryer. The Airfryer is so versatile and it made it super fun coming up with new recipes each day. I was really amazed at how many items I could make with my Philips Airfryer. I also have found 4 reasons to cook with the Philips Airfryer in your kitchen and I’m pretty sure you would agree.
1.) Faster Cooking
Making dinner every night is a lot of work and takes quite a bit of time. During the Home30 Challenge, I wanted to find ways to make wholesome, tasty meals, but not take hours out of my evening. I was able to cook pork chops, chicken, and beef in half the time! I didn’t have to wait 30 minutes for the oven to preheat completely, the Philips Airfryer only took a few minutes to heat to 390 degrees. When I cooked the different proteins, instead of 40 minutes for pork chops, it took less than half that time in the Airfryer. It really was quite a load off and saved me so much time each evening. I could make all sorts of different sides in my Airfryer too.
Our family loves potatoes; wedges, fries, hashbrowns, you name it and they love it. I only took a few minutes to get my potatoes golden brown and crispy. I only had to turn the potatoes once during cooking to make sure they were all cooked evenly. That is so much better than standing over a hot skillet and flipping the potatoes constantly to make sure they don’t scorch and burn. I can’t put a number to the amount of time I saved over the Home30 Challenge with the Philips Airfryer, but I can say that I will be using it weekly for dinners that are speedy and quick.
2.) Easier to Clean
I love creating and cooking. So, when I moved in with my sister and her family, I was put in charge of the meals and I could not have been happier. On the other side of this, I detest dirty dishes. I guess it’s comparable to a kid that LOVES to play with their toys, but hates picking them up. Well, my problem was solved with the Philips Airfryer. It reduced the amount of dishes I had significantly!
All I had to really clean up were the dishes I used to prepare and then the dishes my family ate from. The basket and bottom of the Philips Airfryer has a non-stick coating that repels food from adhering to it. And when I say “non-stick” I absolutely mean “non-stick!” Cleaning up the cooking units really only took 2 steps: 1.) Let the Philips Airfryer cool completely, and 2.) Wipe clean! Those are some pretty easy steps if you ask me! I don’t have to deal with huge casserole dishes with baked on food or a bunch of oil from frying that I have to dispose of. It makes cleaning up so much easier and makes me want to use it all the time because of that.
3.) Healthier Frying
As a society, we love our fried foods. I mean we fry things like pickles and even ice cream. So, when I got my Philips Airfryer and was invited to join the Home30 Challenge, I was skeptical, but excited. I mean, how could fried food be any good with hardly any oil and also, how does air fry anything? I was happily mistaken and my faith was restored. I made fried potatoes, fried chicken tenders, fried won tons and even frozen fish sticks.
I only used about 1 tbsp of coconut oil for each recipe and all the food cooked evenly and came out hot on the inside and golden crispy on the outside. Using only the bit of coconut oil was enough to fry and the flavor was incredible. Instead of the over bearing oil taste that can be left behind, I could actually taste the crispy buttery breading of my fried zucchini and the corn bread hush puppies weren’t doughy on the inside. The fat content of the foods cooked in the Philips Airfryer are a fraction of the fat content of foods cooked in a large skillet full of oil or lard. It’s definitely a great reason to keep a Philips Airfryer near for our family’s meals.
4.) More Options- Versatile
So, we have established that I love cooking. I cook for my family ever day and part of my family includes all the furry, fourlegged kids and other pets running around. My dogs and my sister’s dogs love their treats and it’s needless to say that they are spoiled. Also, Zoe and Skittles are senior dogs and need better, healthier food and snacks. The Philips Airfryer has proven that it can make great meals for my sister, her husband and their children. I decided to put it to the test and make some dog biscuits for the other members of the family.
It was great! I chose what kind of snack I was making and the Airfryer cooked them perfectly. They were crunchy and full of flavor and the dogs loved them. So, knowing what was in them in a plus to buying store brands and the like, and it cooked them in no time and with less fat and cholesterol. Since they are older dogs, anytime I can do something beneficial for their health, it makes my day and the Philips Airfryer definitely helped me to ensure that their biscuits were delicious.
I could go on for quite a while talking about how wonderful the Philips AIrfryer is, but I think it’s best that I give you an idea of how wonderful it is and you can decide for yourselves when you get yours. The verstility and reduced fat and cholesterol were huge selling points for me with my Philips AIrfryer. Also, the easy clean up makes it so much faster and my nieces can help me clean them too when the Airfryer is cooled.
I love that I save time when I use the Philips Airfryer, because I use that time to think of other recipes to make for the next meal! I really enjoyed doing the Home30 Challenge and am so excited to keep creating and cooking healthy and fast meals for my family. So, heat up your Philips Airfryer, get to creating, get to cooking, and enjoy great meals.
