Have you heard of the Softcard app and how easy it is to “Tap to Pay” with the Softcard App? It’s awesome and I’m excited to share it with you.
Most of you know how much I like technology, and how dependent upon my phone I am for so many things. It’s horrible, I know, but I do love my cellphone. I don’t talk on it too much, but I use it for so many other things that my handbag has seriously gotten lighter, especially after signing up for Softcard.
I went with my sister-in-law on a little holiday shopping trip, and WOW her handbag was loaded down. When we got up to the checkout line, it took her a good 2 or 3 minutes to even locate her card, and this happens everywhere we went.
I couldn’t help but giggle to myself. I remember having the big old handbag with all the stuff tossed in, and when I needed to get my credit card it was always at the very bottom of my purse, behind my wallet, stuck in-between the case and my iPad. OH MAN, I’m so glad those days are gone.
Reasons Tap To Pay With The Softcard App

So, what is the Softcard app?
Softcard is an awesome FREE app that allows Windows Phone and Android users to pay with their phone. Softcard also lets users save money on purchases thanks to special offers, and store loyalty, membership, and rewards cards. It’s one of my favorite apps, and now that I think about it most used app, especially this holiday season.
Softcard is an excellent way to pay and here are a few reasons I tap to pay with the Softcard app.
1) Softcard App helps keep my handbag lighter and more organized
Softcard organizes all my payments options, loyalty cards and all those great offers in one little app on my phone, which I can access when needed. No more cards in the bottom of my handbag, digging at the checkout line or forgetting the card I need at home. Everything is nice and organized in my phone under the Smartcard app. With Softcard, you can add your cards from American Express, Wells Fargo®, and Chase® to your Softcard account. Soft Card customers can also set up an American Express Serve® Account, which will allow you to add money to your preferred debit card, credit card, or even U.S. Bank account. Not only are my credit cards nice and organized, but my loyalty, membership, and reward cards too! Everything is in one place, and I can’t take them out at home and forget them…
2) Access to awesome offers using my Softcard App
Softcard users will have access to money-saving offers from participating retailers. Everything is in one easy to access place on your mobile device stored in your Softcard account.
3) Everything is easier, faster, and more secure at the checkout line.
Using Softcard is super-duper easy, and it’s pretty neat. When you’re ready to pay open the app, enter your PIN, select payment and hold your phone over the Contactless Symbol on the terminal. Softcard sends your payment information via Near Field Communication (NFC). There is no card to take out of your wallet; account number flashed, or a chance to leaving your card behind.
4) Where to Pay map
Not sure where you can use Softcard? Users can use Softcards Store Location Finder to locate merchants in their area who currently accept Softcard. You can currently find Softcard at over 200,000 local and national merchant locations.
5) Get all the same benefits as using your physical card.
You can store all of your credit cards to pay for purchases and receive all the benefits and protections you would with your physical card. If you have a prepaid account, you can add money to it with your preferred credit card, debit card, or US banking account. I also like that I can still get all my loyalty points without having to carry around all sorts of cards and coupons because they’re conveniently stored on my Softcard app. Did you know you can even check your balance on certain loyalty program on the Softcard app? You sure can, which is a huge time saver for me.
6) Layers of protection
Softcard offers customers the same lost/stolen and fraud safeguards your cards offer. Plus, with the Softcard app customers get Softcards state of the art technology with layers of protection:
- PIN-Protected – You choose your unique pin number that only you will have access to Softcard.
- Remote Freeze – If you lose your phone, Softcard can be disabled with a call or click of a button.
- Secure Element – Your payment information is kept on a particular little chip (Secure Element), which is designed to allow access to only authorized program such as the Softcard app on your phone.
- Protective ID – There is a unique ID associated sent with each transaction making counterfeit transactions more difficult.
- Personal Privacy – Softcard doesn’t have access to the items you’re purchasing.
7) Download the Softcard FREE!
The whole process from starting my Softcard account to use the Softcard account has been smooth. We recently set up my husband’s Softcard account. It’s as easy as downloading the app, opening the app and selecting “Get Started” following onscreen directions. Once your account is created, you’ll choose a pin and add cards to connect to your bank or credit account. Ready to get started as soon as everything is validated, which can take up to 24 hours. To download Softcard you need to own a Windows Phone or Android device and be a customer of AT&T, Verizon Wireless or T-Mobile. 8) Meet Softcard’s New, Totally Rockin’ Payment Reader Tappy
Have you had a chance to meet Tappy yet? Oh, well this little guy is just AWESOME, and he’s a payment reader! He is Softcard’s new spokesperson. I must say; they did an AWESOME job selecting Tappy. He is very friendly, smart, and has a lot going for him. Be sure to check him out on Softcard’s YouTube Channel.
I have used the Softcard app since I received my Note 4 from Verizon Wireless, and it’s AWESOME! I have unloaded all my cards and put them into my Softcard app. I love the app and don’t see me pulling out at a retail store that accepts Softcard as a form of payment. Which I was presently surprised, even in a small town where I live, almost everywhere I shop does take Softcard.
My favorite thing about the Softcard app is the fact that I don’t have to dig for my credit card. I used to be so bad at tossing it in my handbag, which you can imagine how difficult it was to find it when I needed it. Not only was it stressful for me, but the people behind me in line watching me dig in my handbag, crossing my fingers I didn’t forget it at home. Oh, and one time before I started using the Softcard app I was shopping at Walgreens. When went to pay I couldn’t find my card, had to leave my stuff and tell the clerk I would be back, ran home to find my card, and guess what? My card was in my handbag; I just missed it. Talk about embarrassing.
