The color that I’ve fallen in love with is – Snug as a Rug.
As part of Valspar’s blogger panel, I had the opportunity to add some color to my life using Valspar Optimus Paint and Primer with Opticolor Pigment Technology for vibrant color and finish. It’s truly amazing what a fresh coat of Valspar paint can do to a room. It does so much more than change the color; it changes the way you feel when you’re in a room. Originally, I had only planned on painting our bathroom, but the project motivated us to make other updates like adding a sliding mirrored door over the bathroom closet.
I’ve always liked my bathroom, but I needed to get rid of the old colors and add something a little brighter and more fun. Let’s face it, we spend a lot of time in our bathrooms doing our hair, makeup, showering, changing, looking in mirrors, etc. It’s one of the most used rooms in our home so it’s important to make it a comfortable space.
I love the way our bathroom turned out and it was super easy to paint. It now feels fresher and lighter. We added the accent strip in the room because we plan to add decorative text within – updates to come!
I ordered a new shower curtain, blinds and curtains to pull everything together. And, I’m even using the left over paint to touch up my bathroom accessories – toothbrush holder, trashcan, laundry basket, etc.
I was also impressed with the one coat coverage of the old paint considering the old color was darker than the new. I don’t know if it’s spring coming or my taste in colors has changed, but I love the brighter more fun colors. Painting the bathroom has also given us some great ideas for the rest of the house. Lucky for us, Valspar has a wide array of colors we can choose from.
Meet painter Zoe, my sisters dog.
This is painter Skittles, my boy! He is such a hard worker, together they painted the entire bathroom. Everyone’s loving the new paint job even Zoe and Skittles.
