Adorable Valentine’s Day Oreo Hearts

by Jenn Brockman

It’s almost Valentine’s Day, so I thought I would share these fun, tasty Valentine’s Day Oreo hearts. They are super fun to make and totally adorable. You can decorate them however you’d like, and you only need three ingredients to make it happen. Yes, only three ingredients. I do really enjoy making recipes, especially the fun and cute ones like this, but I’ll be honest, the photos are a huge turn-off for me. I do apologize, but I lost my good lens somewhere along the way. I have looked for it but have had no luck. So I hope you can understand, but I do pinky promise-ish (have to be careful with this because we all have different tastebuds, but I personally liked them). If you like Oreo balls, you’ll more than likely enjoy them. Plus, they are loads of fun to make. It would without a doubt be a fun project with the kids.

I used 1/2 package of Oreo’s and only made six hearts, but the molds I used were rather large. If you don’t have any heart molds, you can grab Heart Baking Molds from Amazon for a fairly reasonable price. I don’t know about you, but sometimes I have issues finding the colors of candy melts I need at my local stores. Amazon also has a wide variety of candy melts if you are having issues finding certain colors at your local stores. And if you don’t have a heart mold and don’t want to purchase one, no biggie, just make Oreo balls, dip them, and decorate!

Okay, well, let’s get to the recipe. I sure hope you like them and that you and your family enjoy creating and/or eating them together.

Instructions

Place 1/2 package of Oreos in a blender with 2 ounces of cream cheese and blend completely. Press Oreo mixture firmly into the molds and place molds in the freezer for about 30 minutes. Melt candy melts, dip Oreo's into the candy melts and decorate. I just dipped the Oreo's and made a little wiggly line on each one.  You have fun and do you!
