I have been itching to make some donuts or donut holes for the mornings. Everyone has to get up to go to school or work since I only have time for my coffee I like to make things like this Baked Apple Spice Donut Holes recipe the night before. I had to put off making them for two days because I’m picky when it comes to my coffee, especially when pairing it with something like Apple Spice Donut Holes. I need the right kind of coffee; I need my favorite flavor os Dunkin’ Donuts® Chocolate Glazed Donut Coffee. I don’t have to have it, but I just love how it taste, all the time, day or night lol. It’s good stuff!

While I was at Walmart, I couldn’t help but grab some Dunkin’ Donuts® Coffee for myself, but then I started thinking about my sister, how she just started her new job, and how much she loves coffee. Yes, that will be the perfect gift idea for her. There are so many morning she calls me and asks me to bring her coffee because she doesn’t have time to make it before she leaves, but I know she would make time if she had some of her favorite Dunkin’ Donuts® Cinnamon Bun or Caramel Coffee Cake Coffee at the house. Don’t you know I couldn’t leave the store without grabbing myself Dunkin’ Donuts® Hazelnut K-Cups & Dunkin’ Donuts® Chocolate Glazed Donut, which you have to try if you haven’t already.

Baked Apple Spice Donut Holes

Donut Hole Ingredients:

  • 1 3/4 C flour
  • 2 tsp apple pie spice
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 C apple sauce
  • 1/2 C whole milk
  • 1/2 C brown sugar
  • 1/3 C vegetable oil
  • 1 egg, room temp
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Apple Pie Spice Brown Powdered Sugar Ingredients:

  • 2 C brown sugar
  • 2 tsp apple pie spice

Let’s get to making these Baked Apple Spice Donut Holes:

Donut Hole Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray the mini cupcake tin with baking spray.
  • Add flour, apple pie spice, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
  • Whisk apple sauce, milk, brown sugar, vegetable oil, egg and vanilla together in another bowl.
  • Fold the wet mixture in the dry ingredients with a rubber spatula just until moist.
  • Fill the prepared mini cupcake tin till 3/4 s filled with batter.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 min or until a inserted toothpick comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool briefly(4-5 minutes) then remove them.
  • Apple Pie Spice Brown Powdered Sugar Directions:
  • Pour brown sugar and apple pie spice into a food processor.
  • Blend the combination until it is a fine, fluffy powdered sugar.
  • Coating baked donut holes with brown/apple pie spice powdered sugar:
  • Put cooled donut holes in a zip lock bag with the brown/apple pie spice powdered sugar and shake several times until the entire donut is covered.

The Baked Apple Spice Donut Holes recipe sounds pretty awesome, right? I love it, but you have to imagine it with a warm cup of Dunkin’ Donuts® Coffee, any flavor will do but you already know Dunkin’ Donuts® Chocolate Glaze Coffee is my favorite. I fell in love after I was asked to try it and write about it on another campaign a while back.

I decided to put some of her favorite flavors of Dunkin’ Donuts® Coffee, a football cup because well it’s that time of year and we’re a football family, and her favorite dark chocolate covered pretzels.

Oh, and don’t forget about the football cup she’ll likely take to work and show off lol.
