The start of a new school year signals the start of a new regimen for most of us. Getting little ones dressed and fed, packing lunchboxes and school bags, and getting ourselves ready, out the door, and everyone to their destination on time. This can be rather trying and tiring. For us, school just started back this week and I can tell it is going to take some time for us to get into a groove before we officially declare ourselves “prepared” for the school year ahead. With the start of this new schedule we have also had to modify our exercise and eating habits.
Normally, my work schedule lends itself to “flex time” which allows me to enjoy a quick workout or walk. My husband on the other hand, not so much. He is out the door before 7:00 AM, doesn’t take a lunch, and arrives home around 6:15 PM (if he is lucky). This schedule means his normal workout occurs in the evening hours. Unfortunately, with everything going on, both of our schedules are out of sync and will continue to be rather “interesting” for the next few months, if not longer. That means less time at home, more time on the go, and a lot less flexibility.
This definitely calls for compromise, modification, and patience! My husband is going to start taking a lunch a few times a week and utilizing the gym at his office. Seriously, I could kick him for not taking advantage of this benefit before now. You should see this place, it is better than most places that offer paid memberships. I digress, the point is, he is going to use it and love it. Me, I am going to cut back to exercising a few times a week and shortening my routine. Needless to say, both of our bodies are going to go through a transition of sorts so we plan to start using supplements. So the first thing we are going to add is Nature’s Bounty® Fish Oil. Fish Oil contains omega-3 fatty acids that are good for your heart.* Omega-3 fatty acids are the “good fats” that contribute to cardiovascular, cellular, and metabolic health.* What that means is that while I am working towards heart health, I am also working on supporting so many other important aspects of my health.*
Fortunately the days are gone when it was necessary to drink a bucket of fish oil to get one’s daily dose. Okay, honestly I don’t know if that was ever actually a thing but it sounded really good! I assume most would simply eat fish. Unfortunately, my husband isn’t a big fan of fish so Nature’s Bounty® Fish Oil is the way to go. Combine this with a healthy diet and a regular, though sometimes altered, exercise routine and you have what you need to be your healthy best for your family during back to school!*
