Berry Coconut Protein Smoothie with Chia Seed

Share

Breakfast is by far the most challenging, yet important meal in my household. However, I think I’m able to get up early with the kids for school without feeling like I got hit by a bus, lol. It took me a little while, but I’ve noticed I have had a little extra time in the morning to make things like this Berry Coconut Protein Smoothie with Chia Seed. I think it’s safe to say I’ve finally settled into my morning routine!

Finding my back to school groove took me a little longer than it normally does this year for some reason. Maybe it just seems like it did. Either way, I’m glad I found it because now I can focus on the important things in the morning, like making sure my kids fuel their mind and body before they leave the house.

Very Berry Chia Seed Protein SmoothieI love the way it feels to get up in the mornings, help the kids get ready for school and still have a little time to make us all something healthy to start our day. We have recently been experimenting with a few different smoothies, Mattie and Vayda both wanted me to share our Very Berry & Chia Seed Protein Smoothie recipe with you because it’s their favorite.

To make the Berry Coconut Protein Smoothie with Chia Seed recipe you’ll need the following ingredients:

  • 2 cups Mixed Berries (frozen, but fresh is okay too)
  • 1 Chobani Kids Greek Yogurt Tube (frozen)
  • 10-15 pieces of ice
  • 1/2 milk
  • 1 scoop of your favorite protein powder, I use strawberry flavor and don’t typically add this to my children’s smoothies.
  • 1/2 Tablespoon honey (more if needed)
  • 1 Tablespoon Chia Seed
  • 2 Tablespoons coconut

  • Combine the mixed berries, Chobani Kids Greek Yogurt Tube, ice, milk, honey and chia seeds in your blend and blend.

Very Berry Chia Seed Protein SmoothieEnjoy your Berry Coconut Protein Smoothie with Chia Seed recipe! Oh, and just an FYI I don’t typically add protein powder in my kid’s smoothies, not only can they taste it, they won’t drink it which has its ups and downs. At least I don’t have to worry about my daughter drinking it all lol. If you want it a little thicker and icy add a few more pieces of ice, or you can take some of the ice out of the recipe if you don’t like the icy smoothies. I would just add a little more coconut milk or water in its place but only like 1/4 cup.

My daughter likes the Chobani Kids Mixed Berry Tubes frozen; she always puts on her little Batman cape when she eats it.

However, don’t think for one second that means she doesn’t love all the other flavors of Chobani Kids Greek Yogurt she has stashed in the freezer. Yes, in the freezer! She’s my popsicle girl and one day I guess she decided that she wanted to make yogurt tubes using Chobani Kids Greek Yogurt and fell in love. She and her sister always eat frozen Chobani Kids Tubes.

There are so many fun things you can do with Chobani Kids and Tots Pouches and Tubes.
