My grandma always had berries for us kids when we were little. She was always making pies and cobblers. I will never forget my grandma’s baking. This Triple Berry Pie reminds me of growing up around her and going to her house after school daily. She always made cookies as well. That was one of my favorites to have as a treat of hers.
This recipe is one of the easiest berry pies that I have made. It is simple and easy to make, that even the kids can make it by themselves if they wanted. I am not one that likes fruits as much as the rest of my family. My husband makes cobblers frequently here at home. He enjoys when I make pies. His favorite is a strawberry or apple pie, but this Triple Berry Pie is loved by all in my home.
Here at home, we add a scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream with a slice of pie. The ice cream melting beside the pie makes it all the more delicious. Yum! Now my husband and mother-in-law are not supposed to be eating sweets because they are diabetic, but they sure eat the heck out of this. Neither of them thinks twice about it either. I try to keep the sweets down, but neither of them listens. I always get asked, “Do we have anything sweet?” If I give them no for an answer, one of them will just go to the store anyhow to get something sweet. It is a no win situation. So this pie was one of their most recent desserts.
