I’m excited to share this wonderful Berry Kiwi & Chia Seed Smoothie recipe with you because it not only taste fabulous but it’s also a smoothie recipe made using Glucerna for those who have diabetes.

Diabetes is defiantly a serious health concern that many Hispanics in the United States face. It’s something I think about often because I have family members who have been diagnosed with diabetes.  It’s scary, and I honestly didn’t learn a whole lot about it until someone close to me was diagnosed with diabetes.  Before someone near and dear was diagnosed I had only heard of diabetes, I didn’t know what it did, much less understand how serious it is or how one is to go about managing diabetes and sugar spikes.

Over the past few years I have learned a lot about diabetes and products like Glucerna with CARBSTEADY, which is designed to help minimize blood sugar spikes and of course a few fun ways to spice them up like using Glucerna in this Berry Kiwi & Chia Seed Smoothie.

This seems like an amazing, healthy recipe. I’ve tried smoothies with Boost, so I am sure this will work just as well!

That was really informative. I don’t have diabetes, but I also don’t want to get it. I knew that blood sugar spiking is not good, but I never really looked into how to avoid it. I make smoothies all the time for meals and try to put really healthy things into them, so I’m going to try this out. Thanks for the info, really helpful.

I have never tried chia seeds. I love Ensure, I have trouble eating so I often drink it to make sure I’m getting vitamins. I wish it cost a bit less, but anyways, This recipe sounds good. I’d use strawberry and omit the seeds.

My daughter started making smoothies last summer and now we both do and this one looks good and easy. I have not heard of glucerna until now but I do have family, not immediate family, that has diabetes and I do know how serious it is. I have also eaten desserts my aunt has made for diabetics and they were delicious but I don’t know if she used glucerna. Thanks for the recipe and this information.

Can’t find the fresh blueberries from where I live anymore since it’s getting much colder. But I guess the frozen ones will make this taste just as good. Thanks for sharing.
