I’m excited to share this wonderful Berry Kiwi & Chia Seed Smoothie recipe with you because it not only taste fabulous but it’s also a smoothie recipe made using Glucerna for those who have diabetes.
Diabetes is defiantly a serious health concern that many Hispanics in the United States face. It’s something I think about often because I have family members who have been diagnosed with diabetes. It’s scary, and I honestly didn’t learn a whole lot about it until someone close to me was diagnosed with diabetes. Before someone near and dear was diagnosed I had only heard of diabetes, I didn’t know what it did, much less understand how serious it is or how one is to go about managing diabetes and sugar spikes.
Over the past few years I have learned a lot about diabetes and products like Glucerna with CARBSTEADY, which is designed to help minimize blood sugar spikes and of course a few fun ways to spice them up like using Glucerna in this Berry Kiwi & Chia Seed Smoothie.
Berry Kiwi & Chia Seed Smoothie Recipe
You’ll need:
- 1 bottle Strawberry Glucerna
- 2 Kiwi Fruit
- 1 Cup Blueberries
- 2 Tablespoons Chia Seed
- 4 Cups Ice
Let’ make this yummy Berry Kiwi & Chia Seed Smoothie:
- Peel skin off kiwi fruit and cut into pieces.
- Place all ingredients into blender and blend.
- To thicken up, smoothie add extra ice.
Did you know that 6MM (23 percent) of Hispanics in the U.S. have diabetes while only 20MM of non-Hispanic whites have diabetes, and it’s estimated that 57 million people have pre-diabetes in the U.S., and 35 percent are estimated to be Hispanics.

This seems like an amazing, healthy recipe. I’ve tried smoothies with Boost, so I am sure this will work just as well!
This smoothie sounds so good! Thanks for sharing!

Love kiwi and blueberries but never thought of using them together Thanks
Wow, I’m so making this!
That was really informative. I don’t have diabetes, but I also don’t want to get it. I knew that blood sugar spiking is not good, but I never really looked into how to avoid it. I make smoothies all the time for meals and try to put really healthy things into them, so I’m going to try this out. Thanks for the info, really helpful.
I hate the taste of ensure, maybe this will help with getting the vitamins that I need thank you for sharing 🙂
This looks delicious, and I do like Kiwi. Thank you for sharing this recipe.

This sounds just delightful and thank you for sharing this recipe with us. I love smoothies.
This is cool. I always like an upgrade.
I have never tried chia seeds. I love Ensure, I have trouble eating so I often drink it to make sure I’m getting vitamins. I wish it cost a bit less, but anyways, This recipe sounds good. I’d use strawberry and omit the seeds.
This looks amazing! i’ll definitely try making it soon 🙂
This sounds so good. What a great healthy drink to start the day. I will be giving this a try. Thank you so much for sharing
My daughter started making smoothies last summer and now we both do and this one looks good and easy. I have not heard of glucerna until now but I do have family, not immediate family, that has diabetes and I do know how serious it is. I have also eaten desserts my aunt has made for diabetics and they were delicious but I don’t know if she used glucerna. Thanks for the recipe and this information.
Can’t find the fresh blueberries from where I live anymore since it’s getting much colder. But I guess the frozen ones will make this taste just as good. Thanks for sharing.
