2018 was a great year for cannabis advocates as Canada became the second country in the world, after Uruguay, to legalize recreational and medicinal marijuana use through the federal Cannabis Act.
Also known as CBD, Cannabidiol is one of the 113 cannabinoids found in hemp plants. Widely procured in countries like Egypt, Canada and Australia, cannabinoids help in triggering chemical compounds affecting the nervous system and brain. Hemp oil or CBD oil have broad scope and popularity in the medicinal field, and its valuation in the market is worth billions of dollars. Pure CBD oil for cancer is under research by many universities. This oil is extracted from the hemp plants, is one of the best treatments for relief from ailments like diabetes, arthritis, epilepsy, inflammation, and seizures, among others.
Consumable in forms of oil, capsules, vapor or liquid solution, CBD oil acts majorly as an anti-tumor agent. It inhibits the growth of tumor cells and stops them from multiplying. Recent studies have shown that CBD, along with other cannabinoids, slows the growth and even kills certain kinds of cancerous cells. Therefore, CBD oil is widely used to treat brain, breast, lung, and colon cancer. Cannabis oil, in its pure form, possesses the following characteristics and properties:

Since doctors don’t officially prescribe the same, there is no official protocol regarding the dosage amounts to be consumed. Early clinical trials of treating cancer in humans through CBD have taken place with future studies planned about the therapeutic potential of cannabis.
Even though initial studies have proven that medical cannabis can be safe in treating symptoms of cancer, unfortunately no breakthrough has been made – whether they help cure or control the disease. The ability to moderate inflammation and alter the reproduction of cells is a likely factor to use cannabinoids in the treatment of cancer. What boosts the process is about specific targeting to only cancerous cells, while being completely harmless to healthy cells.
