Who loves Peanut Butter Cookies? They are a favorite in my house, and to be honest I didn’t start making them myself until my husband request them two years ago for his birthday, lol. What can I say, I didn’t have any Peanut Butter Cookie Recipes worth sharing. Since he request them I called my sister-n-law like I always do, and requested her Chewy Peanut Butter Cookie Recipe lol. She is the baking queen, if I don’t know how to bake something or need a recipe it never fails she comes to save the day.
This Peanut Butter Cookie Recipe started out to the be the ones my sister-n-law gave me two years ago, but I have done a few things to change it up… I hope you enjoy, we love them!
Chewy Peanut Butter Cookie Recipe
- 1 cup peanut butter (I use smooth peanut butter, but I’m sure you could use either.)
- ¾ cup white sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar (be sure and pack down and full)
- ½ cup butter (softened)
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- ¾ teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
In a large mixing bowl combine the butter and peanut butter, mix together well.
Add your white sugar and brown sugar and beat until it’s a fluffy mixture
Add your egg, milk, vanilla and mix until it’s a nice smooth texture.
Add your flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and mix until combines well and is ready to make awesome cookies.
Roll your balls of dough in white sugar, then place them on your non-stick cookie sheet
Bake for right at 10 minutes, be sure to not over bake.
Let cookies cool and store in a container that is airtight at room temperature.
How many cookies this makes depends on the size of cookies you make. I tend to make mine a little bigger because my husband loves his Peanut Butter Cookies. You can also get creative and place M&M’s, peanuts, or anything else yummy on top. Have fun, and I hope you enjoy this fabulous Chewy Peanut Butter Cookies Recipe! You can also cook the peanut butter cookies at a lower heating for longer to get a more chewy cookie you can try cooking a batch at 300 degrees for 15 minutes. My sister-n-law just told me about this trick, I personally have not tried it, but do trust her awesome cooking skills.
