When it comes to holiday shopping, I find that men are the hardest to shop for. I could go with the cliché gifts like a necktie or cologne, but would rather give the people I love thoughtful, meaningful gifts. As I was searching for gifts ideas for the guys recently, I came across The Collector’s Case. After spending a just few minutes on their website, I was able to cross off some of the men on my shopping list.
The Collector’s Case is a subscription service for the geeks and gamers. They send a box every month filled with fun products including exclusive t-shirts, celebrity autographs or exclusive Funko Pops in random cases, and 4 to 6 pop culture collectibles. Of course, if you are not quite ready to commit to a monthly subscription, you can opt for a one time shipment. You can also go for the “Sure Thing” which guarantees you an autographed photo, though the price is a bit higher.
Each month, The Collector’s Case features a different theme. For instance, the theme for March 2017 was “Space” and the case included a mixture of items from Star Wars, Star Trek, and Dr. Who. I received the Vampires & Bunnies case to review. This case has a mixture of items from several different franchises, all related to either vampires or bunnies.
- Some of the items include:
- Black Vampire & Bunnies t-shirt
- Titan Buffy vinyl figures
- Limited Edition Chase Donnie Darko Funko Pop
- Vampire Diaries trading cards
- Cryptozoic DC Comics Bombshells Harley Quinn exclusive figure
I have to admit I am a little on the geeky side, so I was anxiously waiting for the case to arrive. Once it did, I dug right in. Everything was packaged very nicely in a sturdy box and it even included an information card explaining the contents. This was really helpful since I could not figure out why the Harley Quinn figure was included.
My favorite item in the box? The Donnie Darko Funko Pop. I was lucky enough to get the Chase variant of the pop. I started my Funko Pop collection about two years ago and have searched for a Chase pop, but until today, I have been unable to find one.
I ordered The Collector’s Case for my brother and my cousin and I think they will both love these cases. And I will admit, I am thinking about signing up for the subscription service for myself. You can sign up right on The Collector’s Case website. The boxes are valued at $60 or more, but you can get yours for just $25!
