How will Daylight Savings Time affect the baby’s sleep? It’s a legitimate question that I think many parents worry. With Daylight Saving Time creeping upon us, it’s a great time to start talking thinking about how the time change will affect your baby and things you can do to make the transition easier for you and baby.
Daylight Savings Time and Baby
I can’t believe we’re already going to see another time change. It’s almost scary how quickly time passes us by, especially if we don’t stop to smell the roses because our little ones sleep schedule gets out of whack. The time change can be stressful, but it doesn’t have to. I’ve been through several times changes and with the right tools and advice I honestly think it can be harder for the older children. Then again, all children are different, and I might have been one of the lucky parents.
My biggest worry was messing with our excellent routine, which worked great. I was anxious that our nightly routine would get unbalanced which would cause sleep problems for everyone. All children are different, but it has been my experience with the right tips you and your little one will make it through the time change just fine. I have a few tips that I don’t know what I would do without – making the a room dark helped me to slowly adjust our little one to the time change, but it’s been my experience keeping baby dry and comfortable is one of the most important things I could do. As long as the baby was dry and comfortable, we could work on everything else.
Pampers knows that even the slightest change in our nightly routine can be difficult for younger children as well as their parents. Keeping your baby dry during the night and through the changes Daylight Savings Times brings may help ensure you and your little ones get a better night’s sleep. Did you know that Pampers keeps baby dry for up to 12 hours, which makes them an awesome solution for your little ones wetness protection?
Time change is hard to everyone! To this day, I don’t know if it’s more difficult for me or my children, lol. However, when you have a little one routine is imperative important, and even the slightest change in routine can keep baby up, which, of course, means you are up too. Daylight Savings Time doesn’t have to be stressful. There are a few things you can do to help ease your little one into a new routine, which is why you’ll want to join the #PampersSleepChat Twitter Party on the 3rd of March at 9pm EST!
