Delce de Leche Caramel in the Crockpot – Only ONE Ingredient

by Jenn

Okay, so apparently Delce De Leche caramel in the crockpot has been around for a long time and I barely found out about it a few years ago. It’s freaking delicious so I had to share it. Most of you have probably heard of it if not tried it but I know there are a few souls out there who haven’t heard of it yet and will just love not only how easy this recipe is, but oh my goodness it’s such an amazing caramel recipe.

Ah, caramel, the sweet golden goodness that can transform any dessert into a heavenly treat. From drizzling it over ice cream to using it as a dip for apple slices, caramel has become a beloved indulgence for many. And what could be better than homemade caramel in the crockpot? The kind that you can whip up in your very own kitchen, without any fancy equipment or culinary skills. That’s where caramel in the crockpot comes into play.

Let’s face it, making caramel from scratch can be a daunting task. It requires constant attention, precise temperature control, and nerves of steel to avoid burning it. But fear not, because using a crockpot to make caramel takes away all the stress and fuss. Simply dump the ingredients in, set it, and forget it (well, not entirely forget it, but you get the idea). It’s like having a personal caramel-making assistant that does all the hard work for you, while you relax and enjoy the anticipation of that sweet, gooey goodness.

Seriously, it’s caramel with sweetened condensed milk and you toss it in the crockpot, BAM and it’s amazing.

  • Fill the crockpot with water and make sure the can is completely submerged.
  • Set time for 7 hours (I always allow mine to sit in the water and cool for a few hours but you can take it once the 7 hours is up)

Enjoy!

The slow and steady cooking process in a crockpot allows the caramel to develop a deeper, richer flavor and all this with only one ingredient, it’s seriously that easy. I’m not going to lie the waiting isn’t easy but it will definitely be worth the wait. I’m picky about my caramel and man, this stuff is good.  You can use it for all sorts of things – ice cream topping, make yourself a snickers iced coffee, dipping sauce for apples, add in some brownies and I even made some rice crispy treats with it.  Okay, and I’ll admit I totally eat it right out of the can with a spoon too, I’m a sucker for good caramel.

Let me know what you think if you decide to make it…
