Being a parent isn’t easy.  There is so much to get done in a day I often don’t know how we manage to pull it all off.  Think about everything you do in a day.  If you’re like me it’s a log.  There’s getting kids dressed, laundry, dishes, more cleaning, errands, moms taxi service, lunch, dinner, snacks and all kinds of other things to get done.  I like to think it’s my super mom, ninja like skills that get everything done.  Maybe, it’s not my ninja like skills.

To make things easier I look for ways to save time each day.  Things such as snacks for the kids.  I can save time, and give my kids something healthy if I plan.  Healthy snacks can get a little stressful if we don’t plan for them.  Last year my two older kids didn’t eat healthy snacks as often as I would have liked.  Mom and dad were at work, and they would get into other things rather than eat the fruits and veggies I bought for them.

Since I’m finally a stay-at-home mom I’m able to better control what my kids are snacking on.  As parents we want our kids to eat healthy snacks, not chips and cookies.  Now my kids eat veggies every single day for snacks, and get this.  They love it!

I have made veggies fun around the house.  Every few days I cut up different veggies, place them in individual snack sized baggies for the kids.  When they are ready for a snack it’s easy they head to the fridge grab the veggies of choice, and KRAFT Ranch Dressing of course.  It’s been the secret to my success.  My kids are not allowed to hide the veggies somewhere under the ranch lol.  They’re allowed to use a mom approved amount, and dip their veggies.  I have to be honest, I enjoy dipping my veggies in a little KRAFT Ranch as well.

While I was browsing the Dollar General website I noticed a Creamy Ranch Dip recipe, and Frosty Strawberry Pops recipe that I was to make for the kids.  There’s more than just healthy recipes for the kids on the Dollar General website, there’s coupons.  I don’t know about you, but with back-to-school shopping happening I’m looking to save anywhere I can.
