Who doesn’t love an inspirational story of overcoming diversity and finding true friends and family? I know I have always enjoyed a story that leaves me motivated and ready to take on the world. Disney’s McFarland, USA is one of those tales that strum the heartstrings.
Kevin Costner stars as Coach White who tries to bring together a cross-country team in McFarland, California. In a farming community and at a predominantly Hispanic school, Coach White finds true talent in a group of school kids. After moving his family to a new town, he is determined to make it their home. Along with this, he sees that the group of kids he is training in a sport is, in turn, teaching him about family and dedication to each other.
Disney’s McFarland, USA will be released nationwide on February 20th, 2015 and I am super excited to go to the theater and check it out. It is always great to find something inspirational in a true story and feel the positive message being portrayed through others.
So, if life has you down, or if you just want a boost, head to the movies with your kids, peers, husband/wife or anyone and watch the story unfold in this Disney movie that I’m sure will prove to be both inspiring and entertaining. See you at the movies!
