We recently had a Minions Backyard Bash, and I made these cute and easy Minions Brownies for the kids. Okay, and the adults! Don’t worry I’ll tell you all about the Minions Backyard Bash, but before I get started on that let’s talk about these easy Minions Brownies!
I love the Minions, the make coming up with party ideas for kids easy and so much fun! When the last movie was released, I make Minions Cupcakes, which I still need to share the recipe with you lol. I know I am totally behind, but hey it makes the new Minions movie even more fun and gives you more great Minions party ideas!
DIY Easy Minions Brownies Recipe
Ingredients:
Mini Brownie Muffins
1 Large Package Marshmallows
1 Package Yellow Candy Melts
Blue Cookie Frosting
2 Package Smarties
Back Writing Jell
Let’s make this easy Minions Brownies recipe:
For the Mini Brownie Muffins, I just used a brownie mix, prepared like normal and cooked in a mini muffin pan.
After your Mini Brownie Muffins are prepared melt the yellow candy melts.
Before covering the marshmallow in the yellow candy melts place a little dot on the wax paper. This is where you will put the marshmallow after it has been covered; it helps keep the bottom of the marshmallow covered while drying.
Place a toothpick or something similar in the top of the marshmallow and cover completely.
Once yellow coating as dried completely, put the marshmallow on top of your mini muffin brownie.
Use the blue cookie frosting to draw a blue line all the way around the minions, this will help connect the marshmallow and the brownie. Allow to dry, place a dab of black writing gel on the back of the candy as the eyes. Using the black writing gel draw a line around the smarties, around the marshmallow, and place a dab in the middle of the smarties, so it looks like an eye.

Minions Party Fun
We recently all sorts of goodies for our Minions Backyard Bash, which is great because all of us are excited to catch the new Minions Movie July 10th. Honestly, we have been counting down the day for a while now, lol.
Our party didn’t start out so great, I’m going to be honest, but we cannot control the weather. We had a pool party planned, and, of course, the rain clouds moved in. Rather than move all the kids inside we decided to move the party to the following day. See, that’s the beauty of summer – NO SCHOOL – so we can move parties and it’s okay, lol.
However, I know the kids were not too happy about waiting until the following day, so we decided to cut into the Minions Cake, which, of course, made them smile.
When Jeanna and I made the cake, I honestly didn’t think about cutting it, lol. We decided to get creative and cut that bad boy right in half. I also send everyone home with a huge piece of the Minions cake because I didn’t want my kids all hopped up on all that sugar, lol.
Finally, let the Minions Backyard Bash begin! Only this time, we were smart and set up the table indoors, just in case the rain decided to sneak up on us again.
My sister is a nut, but I love her! She got all dressed up in her yellow hat and apron to deliver Minions Brownies to everyone, lol. Notice she even have her blue towel. Got to love that!
We had a lot of fun; the kids loved the party and of course us adults had a blast too! Who couldn’t have fun, it was a MINIONS PARTY!
Everything turned out nice. I sent everyone home with an awesome bag filled with all sorts of Minions goodies. Everyone had fun and left happy, but I’m almost positive the kids favorite part of the Minions Backyard Bash was the fact that they were able to go home with their Minions towels!
Minions Movie Coming to Theaters July 10th
The story of Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainment’s Minions begins at the dawn of time. Starting as single-celled yellow organisms, Minions evolve through the ages, perpetually serving the most despicable of masters. Continuously unsuccessful at keeping these masters—from T. rex to Napoleon—the Minions find themselves without someone to serve and fall into a deep depression.
But one Minion named Kevin has a plan, and he—alongside teenage rebel Stuart and lovable little Bob—ventures out into the world to find a new evil boss for his brethren to follow.
The trio embarks upon a thrilling journey that ultimately leads them to their next potential master, Scarlet Overkill (Academy Award® winner Sandra Bullock), the world’s first-ever female super-villain. They travel from frigid Antarctica to 1960s New York City, ending in mod London, where they must face their biggest challenge to date: saving all of Minionkind…from annihilation.
Featuring a soundtrack of hit music from the ’60s that still permeates our culture today, Minions is produced by Illumination’s Chris Meledandri and Janet Healy, and is directed by Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda. Brian Lynch has written the screenplay for the 3D-CG comedy adventure, and Chris Renaud serves as executive producer of the film.
Between the Minions Cake, brownies, party favors and all the fun most of us decided to make a movie date for July 10th! I think it’s safe to say we are all waiting on the edge of our seats for July 10th so we can get together once again, only this time to finally see the new Minions Movie!! I love the minions and these ideas are so cute. I like the brownies, but the cake looks amazing. I am sure mine will look like a “fail” but hey, it’s still cake 🙂
