I love babies! They are so much fun and man do they know how to make a mess! Seriously, from eating to well just about everything. I mean don’t get me wrong, it’s almost always super cute, and I have plenty of pictures of my kids getting messy, and those are memories I’ll have forever but cleaning them up isn’t always fun lol.
Don’t Miss This If You Have a Messy Baby!
Do you have a few messy baby stories? I can tell you a few, but I think showing you would be a little better than telling you. Just look at the above image, those are only a few of the MANY messes we deal with!
I think the worst mess was probably when Catie took Mattie and introduced her to the mud. OMG, she was covered, and since that day I have not been able to keep her out of it. Gavin has not discovered mud yet, but I know this coming spring it’s bound to happen lol.
Gavin has not found mud yet, but I know this coming spring it’s bound to happen, Dennis and Marley be ready lol. I can tell you one thing; this little boy is going to be a handful too. He reminds me so much of my brother when he was little, and my brother was a little, well nuts haha.
The worst part of the mess is the clean up right. I guess that’s with any mess! We all enjoy making the mess; it’s loads of fun but cleaning well not so much. Thankfully one of my children was super easy when it came to cleanup. She has never given me much of a problem. When Mattie got messy she wanted to me immediately strip her down, wash her hands and get everything off her face. She was always ready for a bath lol.
Now there is Gavin and well, he’s not so easy. He screams and cries the whole time anyone tried to clean him up. I guess we should be more understanding right. I mean all he wants is to keep that stuff on his face for later, lol. Oh, yea and that leftover baby food between his fingers he was saving too.
I think it’s safe to ay that we can all agree that babies are messy but did you know that throwing and playing with food can help your child learn? YES, science has even confirmed what kids seem to instinctively know – playing with dirt and mud is fun. However, did you know it helps soothe, calm and even relax children? Basically playing with mud can make kids happier!
Have you ever tossed clothing because it was too much to even mess with? According to a Dreft survey with Wakefield 80% of moms have tossed out their childs clothes becaseu they felt the mess wasn’t worth washing out. I wonder if they would have felt differently had they known that playing with mud and being messy is the sign of a happy baby. I think it will defiantly change my attitude a bit on the subject.
Thankfully for all these messy moments, we have a great product like Dreft to help keep our little one’s clothes looking their very best even after the worst of messes.
- Dress your little guy or gal right and care for the fabrics they are in. When you expect a mess to be sure to dress baby in fabric like cotton. It’s easily cleaned. It’s also important to use a gentle and hypoallergenic detergent to care for your little one’s clothing, like Dreft.
- Throwing food just might be helpful. Did you know that throwing food or dropping food on the floor might just help children learn a little about physics? Yes, but I would defently put something on the floor to protect the floor and make sure the mess is easy to clean up.
As you may already know Dreft is the #1 baby laundry detergent choice of pediatricians but did you know they have been a trusted brand for over 80 years? Yes, they sure have and Dreft meets the needs of our littles ones. You can rely on Dreft Active Baby detergent to help you remove 99% of those baby food stains along with other outdoor messes. The Active and the Newborn product line are still formulated to be hypoallergenic and gentle on your baby’s skin.
