Easter Egg Decorating Ideas

Share

I have a few hard boiled Easter Egg Dying Ideas that I thought I would share.  They are fairly simply and involve warm hard-boiled eggs and a crayon, with a 2-year-old I had to think of things that were a little less messy this year.  Oh my gosh, I could see it now the mess that I would have with Madysin and Easter Egg Dying in my kitchen.  No thanks not this year, we have decided to do something a little different, less messy but super fun!

Easter Eggs – Made With melted Crayons

Easter Egg Decorating Ideas 1When are ready to hard boil your eggs rather than just using cold water make a mixture of cold water and vinegar for every cup of water add 1 – 1 1/2 tablespoons of vinegar.  This was the first time I had done Easter Eggs this way I boiled mine for 10 mins and they came out perfect.

First you have to hard boil your eggs, but do not run them under cool water, they need to be warm.

Remove them from the water with tongs, use a towel and wipe all the water off and place them into the egg carton

Now for the fun part, pick our your crayons’ and color away, you can, to get a speckled look get a knife and shave off tiny pieces of a crayon, now slowly sprinkle over the eggs.

Color them all, have fun get creative and after you are done coloring your Easter Eggs allow them to sit for about an hour so the wax from the crayons is dried on the eggs.

Leave me a comment, share your  Easter Egg Dying Ideas..
