I sewed a Bargello wall hanging using mostly scraps of fabric stored out in the garage.
The coolest craft I ever did was to make GAK with my grandchildren this summer. I learned something while doing it. I asked my 11 year old grandson what color we should use from my food coloring & he replied that he would like to make turquoise. He proceeded to tell me to use 4 drops of blue & 3 drops of green. Sure enough , we had the prettiest turquoise gak. We all liked it so much that we made some as prizes for our church’s vacation Bible school.
I like where people take material and put on a basket. The reason I like it so much is that you can always change fabrics on them and keep the basket.
My favorites crafts are scrapbooking & quilting.
I made a shadow box with my grandmothers’ and my mom’s aprons. It’s hanging in the kitchen of course and I got some vinyl lettering to put across it that says, “Good Cookers.”
A wire wreath with clay pots attached around it a circle following the wire with moss in between them and raffia bow tied on the top.We put succulent plants in it and it looked so cute
I like to sew and have made some really great costumes for my kids. The best thing i ever made though was an Easter outfit for my son, it had a great newsboy cap and knee britches.
My daughter made a really neat Owl Storage Box as a craft project. It turned out really great for fall.

The coolest craft is when my kids made gingerbread houses and they had so much fun eating it afterward.
I made water color birch trees with my kids who were 2 and 5 using painter’s tap to tape off the trunks and then letting them paint and after removing the tape…they are so beautiful.
My son make a garden plate at summer camp. They used some sort of clay and seeds. It’s really interesting.
