Organic Lip Remedy.
I am a candle fanatic so there is nothing better than spending time in the tub in our bathroom (It’s a deep whirlpool tub but nothing like the hydrotherapy spa where sitting in the either corner seat or laying in the lounger w/jets to the feet, back, neck, all down the legs, & even the carpel tunnel area jets – you can’t beat it) with candles lit all around with aromatherapy helping calm my senses while the heat of the water dulls the pain I’m in, it is super fantastic!
The wet room for the spa is yet another area where I try to keep candles going along w/either the oils that go directly into the spa water or these little caged-like circles that fit in a little caged space that fits into a compartment in the spa only you have to have the jets off or you’ll get drinched! The candles reduce the tension as much as the water and the essensial oils and/or spa oils just pushes all the problems away allowing me to clear my mind while I soak and the pain melts away along with anything that is pressing in addition to any other worries: When I’m in the hydrotherapy surrounded by candles, a little music (need a better system with a remote b/c the jets can drown out the music & does most of the time…
I realize everyone has problems and days they just want to forget; hwr, this is how I am able to send those fears, problems, and issues I have to deal with away, at least for a little while for a recharge and/or to allow me the much needed rest Ii rarely get. This is the ticket – this is my sanctuary.

I am all about the lip remedy. I am a chapstick /lipgloss-aholic
Charlene:
I envy you. I have yet to find a chapstick I like to use. Everyone I find feels like it is cracking on my lips. I’m not sure if it’s the Sjogren’s Disease that makes it happen or not since the top problem with Sjogren’s is dry eyes (soon I’ve gotta figure out if I’m going to check out these new contacts available for Sjogren’s patients & cancer patients as it was initially used for cancer patients then learned it was productive for Sjogren’s b/c it reducing the chronic dry eye syndrome b/c it’s breathable, it’s made to add a moisturizing liquid prior to insertion, & the liquid lasts a large part of a day – the downside is that as of the late 90s/early 2000s, they cost $7500 a contact lens but there’s a non-profit group that covers the cost & as of my last check, I’d have to go to Pennsylvania to this specialized eye center or to Johns Hopkins for the fitting as it has to be precise & takes a minimum stay of 2wks; or, I can have ductal plugs, which I’m told fall out constantly & require repeat visits to have them reinserted but my ophthalmologist doesn’t care for either of those routes – he’s pressuring me to have my tear ducts cauterized – all of them – so whatever fluid gets into my eyes will keep them moist; Well, I thought that was the point of tear ducts! ? )
Lip gloss is something I love but I only wear it when I go out and it’s applied after lip venom’s had time to work (I’m almost out so I won’t be using that much longer), lip liner in a creamy style from Sephora though I can’t recall the brand; and then I add a creamy lipstick color that’s usually neutral and earthtone before adding a tad brighter lip gloss in the center of my top lip with a bit wider application on my lower lip to make them feel & appear wider than they are as my lips are thinner than I like but a professional makeup artist showed me how to use all this & how to apply it to make them appear larger, fully, and more pouty in appearance.
What kind of chapstick do you use, if you don’t mind my asking? I carry around a container of CO Bigalow, esp in the winter b/c my lips literally peel from the cold & becaome painful b/c of the chapping from the cold air, dry air, etc…?
Sahara, I would suggest Waxelene for your lips. Check out my review of it. It is all that I use now, plus it has so many more uses than just for your lips. Also, my niece had to have her tear ducts plugged for a bit and hers lasted over a year. She’s 4 now and this was done when she was 2. We’ll be thinking of you through your health journey and wishing you the best. Please let us know if you check Waxelene out. I have a feeling it might just do the trick for you.
Thank ou so much. I truly appreciate you pointing me in a major positive area & rest assured I will definitely give Wexelene a shot! If there;s anything that can help prevent my chapped lips, I’ll give it a go b/c it is terrible year around but even worse in the winder months not to mention when Sjogren’s starts acting up.
I’ll give the dutal plugs some thought. My only fear of going that way is the falling out part and having to return to an ophthalmologist to have new ones put in. I guess you could say I’m a terrible patient when it comes to eye doctors. After all the tests and exams I underwent to find out why I was having problems like constant vehicle wrecks, running into TOMOs (think golf cart only on an industrial type made thick & sturdy like forklifts and it’s bright orange yet I tripped into it rather than over it b/c they’re rather large & made from thick heavy-grade steel)
My former eye doctor lied to me for over 3 years while attempting to talk me into handing over $10,000 out of pocket for a surgery, the RK/LASIK before it was truly tested and even worse, he was ware I wasn’t a candidate. I’m thankful I felt that gut feeling of not doing it; hwr, after a full day then other that came after it that left me dilated from dilation drops for 4 days, give or take and mostly give plus the migraines from the eye strain… I just don’t care for doing back for much of anything.
Most of all, it’s difficult for me to handle being told yet again that there are no cures for what is wrong with my eyes (retinas but I have corneal issues thanks to Sojgren’s). There’s only so many times you can hear those words before you are sick of hearing them and even more sick of hearing there is nothing to slow it down and then the all-time ender before going out of the door, the specialists always say, you need to prepare for the day when you lose what little residual sight you have now b/c you will be losing your sight completely…. There are really only so many times I can hear it, if you know what I mean. I’ve resigned myself to the acceptance but I don’t hove to like it and I don’t need every eye specialist I go to reminding me as if I could forget I’m going wake up one day & I will have no deviation between light and dark or anything b/c it’s all gone.
My one hope is that my corneas remain healthy b/c I want to donate those to someone who can use them and have what I’m losing: the gift of sight. I don’t want Sjogren’s screwing with that dream b/c it will be the one thing I can do for someone else even though I won’t be around to find out how it changes their life. Either way, I hope it is for the best and they do great things with new sight.
thank you again. I do appreciate it.
I’ would really like to try the Solace Body Cream.
I love candles so that would be what I’m most anxious to try.
