I love to cook, and try new things so I was really excited when Smiley360 asked me if I would be interested cooking with Pompeian Extra Virgin Olive Oil and sharing my honest feedback with my readers! Let’s get started!Have you ever used Pompeian Extra Virgin Olive Oil? It’s totally committed to freshness from the time it is harvested all the way to our tables. They also ensure their customers that they only choose the best of the best olives when making their Pompeian Extra Virgin Olive Oil. If you have not tried it I do suggest it for several reasons:
- It’s low in acidity, which I found that it taste better. The taste does stand out, but it’s not bad at all.
- Flavorful – It can be used as a dressing, on salads, vinaigrettes or as a table condiment for dipping bread or carrots I just found out my kids were doing.
- Works great on crackers with garlic salt… Yes, I know and I wish I would have taken a picture but I was not feeling well. My husband made dinner, and rather than making break with the spaghetti he used crackers, garlic salt, and the olive oil. He baked them for maybe 10 minutes (I think), took them out they were lightly browned and the kids loved them. I didn’t have the chance to try them since my tummy was bothering me, but if all 4 kids will eat it that says something lol.
- It’s a brand I know and trust – Pompeian has been bringing great Mediterranean olive oils to tables for over 100 years, and if anyone knows olive oils it’s them.
- Healthier – Anything I can do to important the way my family is eating I am going to do. Be sure to head over to the Pompeian.com and check out all the benefits of Pompeian olive oil.
- 1st Olive oil to be approved for the USDA quality-monitoring program – They are the guys who verify the purity and quality of the olive oil by taste testing the product, and review of the production process. So they watch from start to finish…
What about using Pompeian Extra Virgin Olive Oil when cooking your everyday items…
I recently tried to make bone biscuit’s for the kids. While my biscuit’s did not turn out looking much like bones, adding the Extra Virgin Olive Oil to them made me forget that I was trying to be spooky and make bone biscuits, lol. If you have Pompeian Extra Virgin Olive Oil be sure to give it whirl. I want to try this one some Italian Bread, I bet that will be good!
I did use the Extra Virgin Olive Oil in my last chocolate cake, and surprisingly it turned out great. Yes, I was a little worried, my husband is very picky when it comes to his chocolate cake. Typically he gets upset when I do anything different. Now he did notice the taste was a little different, but he did not say it was bad and enjoyed three pieces!
Works great when making my chocolate chip cookies! I had no complaints from anyone. I think by this point everyone was getting used to the way things worked, because nobody even said anything about it tasting different, and I have already used it several times so I forget to ask.
Pompeian Extra Virgin Olive Oil is amazing on grilled lemon pepper chicken, and just about anything else we used it on. My kids also used it to make a vinaigrette type dressing to dip their carrots in. I was actually a little surprised my oldest daughter was able to figure it out, but she said it turned out great. I don’t doubt it one bit, just surprised she knew to look up the recipe lol.
I can tell you that I am excited to have Pompeian Extra Virgin Olive Oil around next year when we start picking fresh tomatoes and cucumbers out of our garden. There is nothing better than fresh veggies, and I can just taste them together all ready… While I am glad summer is gone, this is one reason I wish I could get it back, lol.
