I had never put much thought into how skin issues can affect everyday life, until baby C came along that is. Since shortly after her arrival, my beautiful, brown-eyed baby has suffered from terrible eczema. This means bi-weekly trips to the dermatologist, keeping track of skin medications, and ridding our house of products that can cause it to flare up. It also means finding clothing that is soft and gentle on her skin, which is not always easy. When Finn + Emma offered to let me review a pair of their pajamas, I jumped at the opportunity.
Finn + Emma believes in offering baby and toddler clothing that has the perfect balance of style and sustainability. The company knows the chemicals used to product non-organic clothing can harm children, and the environment. They also realize that when it comes to apparel, style is important. To ensure parents never have to choose between safety and style, Finn + Emma produces clothing made from only organic materials.
The company uses soft, G.O.T.S. certified organic cotton and non-toxic dyes for their garments and accessories. By eliminating chemicals from the clothing, the company also contributes to the pursuit of global sustainability. All of the items offered made in fair trade settings that focus on encouraging the economic independence of local people. Vogue Magazine voted the company as one of the “10 Best Sustainable Baby Brands”.
Finn + Emma ensures that boring designs are a thing of the past. Their clothing lines feature modern colors and whimsical designs. I received the Zebra pajamas to review. Like all of Finn + Emma clothing, they are G.O.T.S. certified and made from 100% organic cotton. They have a wide elastic waistband for comfort. The pajamas feature pink pants with a zebra print shirt with coordinating pink trim on the neck and cuffs. They are available in sizes 12-18 months through 4T. They are available on the website for $34.00.
The first thing I noticed about the pajamas is the adorable design. It is unique, but not too over the top. As I do with all clothing, I immediately felt the material. They were amazingly soft, yet not too thick or too thin. This makes them ideal for wearing during the winter months and during the summer when we have the A/C running. The exceptional quality of the material and the construction is also apparent. I am typically nervous ordering new brands online since they all fit differently. To my surprise, the pajamas fit baby C Just right. They were a tad roomy which I prefer so she can wear them longer. She also seemed very comfortable in the pajamas and the material does not irritate her skin which is important. I look forward to picking up some of the other cute styles.
