Have you ever been stuck in your own mind listening to a bunch of different voices telling you how to feel about a situation? There is one telling you to be happy, another crying for you to be sad, a separate one screaming for you to get angry and all sorts of other voices hollering all sorts of other emotions. Well, it seems the creators at Disney and Pixar had those same experiences because they have come up with a new story about just that. “Inside Out” is a new full length animated film about a girl, Riley, who is experiencing the flood of emotions in her own head. Her emotions though, have their own personality and a lot more to say about what’s going on.
Riley is moved from her home in the MidWest to a new city, San Francisco, when her father gets a new job. Riley has the prominent emotions running rampant like Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith). All these emotions live in Headquarters inside Riley’s mind where they let her know their opinion on what she should do in different situations. Things get a bit more difficult as Riley is forced to face changes much more adverse than she and her emotions have come across before.
Joy, Riley’s strongest and highest regarded emotion, tries to keep everything on an even keel and stay positive, but all the other emotions in Headquarters are fighting to be heard. What will happen to Riley as she deals with all the changes in her life and all the emotions telling her what to do? What would you do? That question and all the rest will be answered on June 19th, 2015 when “Inside Out” is released in theaters.
“Inside Out” is one of Disney and Pixar’s newest animation film and is sure to be a hit. Director Pete Docter and producer Jonas Rivera are credited to this movie. Both Docter and Rivera had a hand in the great Disney Pixar films like “Up,” “Monster’s Inc.,” “A Bug’s Life,” and “Toy Story.” So, with such a talented couple of artists behind the development of “Inside Out” there shouldn’t really be a doubt that it will be a dynamic and entertaining movie. On June 19th, this summer, get your family and friends, head to the cinema, grab some drinks and snacks, settle in and get ready for one of the newest films of the year. See you at the movies!!!
