Regardless of the season or what the weather is doing outside, tea is an awesome beverage that you can drink hot or cold. Plus, the benefits of drinking green tea go beyond tasty. Green tea has even been known help you lose weight!
I love green tea in all shapes and sizes, but I’ve been really enjoying a new tea I recently tried by Pure Leaf! Not only is it super yummy, but it’s also still green tea and as long as I avoid all the extra sugar, it should still be great for my weight loss journey.
So here is the question, can green tea help you lose weight?
I’m going, to be honest, I’ve been drinking green tea and dropping a few pounds! However, I don’t give the green tea all the credit. I sure wish there was a magic tea out there that would do all the hard work for me, but since there isn’t I’m going to take the credit for my hard work but that doesn’t mean the green tea hasn’t helped me along the way.
1.) Burning Fat – Did you know that green tea contributes to increasing the fat burning produces! Which is great news for anyone trying to lose weight and is working out and eating right!
Green tea contains caffeine which is a stimulant that has been known to help aid your body in burning fat and help you get that extra jolt you need for your workout.
2.) Antioxidants – Green Tea also contains antioxidants! One of these antioxidants in green tea is called EGCG, and it helps to inhibit an enzyme that is known to break down the hormone norepinephrine which tells the fat cells it’s time to get to work and break down fat!
3.) Flavored Green Teas Can Help Too– I read a while back that flavored green teas are as effective as green tea without flavors, unless of course you are talking about adding sugar and other sweeteners. 5.) When To Drink Green Tea – To get the most out of your green tea I personally get the most benefits if I drink a glass before I sit down to eat. I like it because it helps me feel full when I sit down to eat so I eat less!
6.) Do I Have To Drink Water Too – YES, you should always be drinking water to help keep your body happy, healthy and hydrated.
