Spring Cleaning, oh the joy. Spring cleaning means to me running into all kinds of things that I have not seen in such a long time I forgot that I even had them. Some of it I do not even remember where it came from or how it ended up under my bed, in my closet or anywhere else things happen to get shoved away. I still to this day am not sure how I end up with half the stuff I find and with 4 children, I am sure you can imagine the wonders that we find in our home. I have a lot of items that are still brand new that I would love to get rid of and make a little bit of money off them.
I make my own candles, my hobby is slowly turning into a small business, which makes me extremely happy. I will actually be launching my online Candle Store soon, I cannot wait. I have been doing a lot of research and developing a marking strategy. You know, trying the best that I can to have a game plan on how I will sell them and promote my website to help me make some money. I ran into this mobile and web marketplace called HipSwap that allows you to place items on sale, they give you an online store or profile that you can add links to your website, Facebook, Twitter, Pintrest, and so on. I have been reading up on it and it seems like an awesome online marketplace, where I can sell my candles and maybe some of the other things I want to get rid of.
HipSwap allows anyone, any merchant, stylist, artist, candle maker, ANYONE to sell they products off their website. You can even sell those items you found under your bed spring cleaning if someone else will buy it you can sell it on their website. It is free to list your items on HipSwap until it sells and then there is a 3.5% transaction fee, your items stay listed until it is sold and paid for with PayPal.
HipSwap has a pink van that delivers products for you and deliver them to the buyer, they currently only deliver in Los Angeles but are expanding. You can also ship your items to the buyer just like you would anywhere else. They pick-up and deliver the products in an awesome pink van too, pink is my favorite color! I did sign up to browse around the HipSwap store and there is a lot of awesome products some of it is handcrafted, used, and new.
I wanted to share this with anyone who has products that they currently sell online or anyone that loves to shop. unfortunately, I am guilty of both, I love to shop and wish I had more money to do it with, but don’t we all. I have not used HipSwap yet but once I get my Online Candle Store up and running I plan on setting my online profile up and seeing what kind of results I get, I might even try to get rid of some of the stuff I find spring cleaning.
If any of you use HipSwap or have bought products from this online marketplace please let me know what kind of experience and results you had from using them. I know there are a lot of online store out there that offer all kinds of different products so I thought I would share this online marketplace, for anyone looking for another way to sell their products.
