Choosing an iPhone 5 case can be difficult, there almost to many to choose from. You can find everything from pink hearts and flowers, to flat black phone cases. How does ones choose the best phone case for their iPhone 5?
There are three things I look for when choosing a phone case for any phone. If you need some help with choosing your next iPhone 5 phone case here are some tips that might be helpful.
- Quality – When choosing a case for you iPhone or any cell phone for that matter quality is important. I would rather spend a little extra on something I know is going to last such as a Truffol Aluminum / Leather Fusion Signature iPhone 5 Case. They are well made, and it’s unlikely you will be hunting for a new case anytime soon.
- Style – My choice in style might be different from yours. I recently received a Truffol “Signature” iPhone 5 case with meticulous nylon brushing. The texture was nice and smooth and very impressive.
- Fit – Have you ever purchases a case for you smartphone that didn’t fit? It’s important to look for a case that ensures a perfect fit.
Truffol “Signature” Minimalist Aluminum Frame for iPhone 5
Which brings to the Truffol “Signature” iPhone 5 Case I received for my husband. Yes Shawn actually has an iPhone 5, and to be honest I’m surprised how much he uses it. For those of you who have followed my blog for a while, I’m sure you know Shawn’s a pretty plain guy. Nothing too techy about him, but he loves his iPhone 5. He has been asking me to purchase him a well crafted iPhone 5 case (trust me he needs one).
When I first received the “Signature” Minimalist Aluminum Case I knew my husband was going to fall in love. The Minimalist Aluminum iPhone 5 case is stylish, and totally fits my husband’s style. He’s the guy who loves flat black cars, aluminum rims, nothing too flashy. Just simple, and well crafted. The more I handled the Minimalist Aluminum Case the more I wish I had one. It’s simple, yet classy, and without a doubt well crafted.
The Truffol’s iPhone 5 case includes Aircraft-Grade Aluminum Frame; Matte-Coated Stainless Steel Back, and Custom Buttons. Every case is machined down to the 0.05th mm so help provide that perfect fit we all want. While the case only adds a thin stainless steel frame around your iPhone, it protects the sides from any scratches, dings, or nicks.
If you’re someone who wants to add a little something more than just the Aluminim case not to worry. Truffol offers leather backings in several different colors, wood backing is on the way, and it looks pretty awesome.
As you can see in the above image Truffol ships the Signature iPhone 5 case in a set of boxes which magnetic closure. The box reminds me of one you would expect an expensive watch or piece of jewelry to come in. One of the boxes contains the steel cover and screen protector. To make things even smoother one can expect to experience meticulous nylon brushing, with a smooth texture free of any rough feeling, and NO KIDS fingerprints. OMG, I know right. Finally something without tiny fingerprints.
I personally think Truffol pulled off an amazing design. It’s simplicity at its finest. The Signature iPhone 5 case provides top of the line craftsmanship, the brushed finish is truly flawless, and the design is simple for a man like my husband, yet classy for a lady like myself.
The iPhone 5 Case is currently $60, which is a little on the high side in my opinion. However it does offer great protection, amazing craftsmanship, and is like no other case I have owned. I do feel the case is worth $60, the craftsmanship and quality of the product is outstanding, and protecting your iPhone is well worth the price in my opinion. However I do understand that many shoppers will not pay $60 for an iPhone 5 case. That will be a choice made by each individual shopper.
I can honestly say my husband and I have NEVER agreed on a phone case, until we experienced this one. I’m not sure how Truffol managed to pull off a phone case that my husband and I could both be happy with, but they did. I’m pretty sure if I had an iPhone 5 we would have to purchase another one, for my husband of course :).
If you’re on the market for an iPhone 5 case you might want to check out Truffol.

Such a nice and informative blog..!!!Iphone
Just my 2 cents…
I recently purchased this case and am extremely unhappy with it. Yes it is very well constructed but I am noticing a wifi and cellular signal reduction of at LEAST 1-2 bars. The metal case severely interferes with the signal and as a result your phone will run hotter, and the battery will drain quicker. Additionally, if you live in an area where you would normally get only 1-2 bars of service, don’t be surprised if you have no signal now.
WOW that is horrible I am sorry you experianced that and we always want you to leave your thoughts here for others to consider. I did not have that problem, but we do live in an area where we get great service, had I traveled to my moms house we may not have reiceved service thank you for the input. I am going to try the case next time we travel anywhere. My husband loves it, and uses it all the time. He has not complained about not getting service one bit, but I will be looking for this. Thank you and always feel free to leave your thoughts here, we want our readers to know everything peole experiance. Thank you for your two cents they are very much appreciated!
Hi Jenn,
Wondering if you experienced any signal degradation with this case. Most reputable manufacturers (those with an official Apple relationship) shy away from encasing the phone, especially the sides, in metal of any kind. Apple themselves will not sell a case that interferes with the signal in any way.
Also wondering where the ‘great protection’ would be found. I imagine it protects from simple scratches but it seems in a drop,, all of the force would be translated directly through to the device – i.e. there is no impact-absorbing material between the case and the phone. I don’t suppose your phone was dropped at any time during the test?
Thank you!
It’s certainly minimalist! I’m not sure how much good it would do you – the sides are usually the sturdiest part of the phone – but if you really want to make sure you’ve blinged out every side, I guess this can complete it! 🙂
I LOVE that this is no all plastic! I’ve seen so many cases that are cheesy-looking, or else too clunky to be practical….what a nice change.
I am so confused. Maybe you can help me? I just recently got a Google Nexus 4 (made by LG), and I need a case for it. I can’t seem to find anything anywhere – all I see are “screen protectors” – something you put over the front to keep the glass clean, I guess. But I am a Grade A klutz – I need some heavy-duty case, it doesn’t have to pretty or blinged-out, – just STRONG. Can you advise, please? Pretty please? Thank you in advance! ****clueless and somewhat embarrassed****
