I must say, the SPIbelt™ or Small Personal Item Belt ™ is one of the keenest items available today. At first glance it appears to be a long, sleek pocket with a zipper on a stretchy belt with a clasp-like buckle. The SPIbelt™ is so much more though. I have thoroughly enjoyed having mine available to keep me hands-free, yet keep my personal items quite secure.
The SPIbelt™ is a safe and secure means of carrying your phone, keys, music and more when running, walking, or when you’re just out and about. It has a pocket that expands to 6.5” x 4” x 2.5”. The comfortable, soft elastic prevents chaffing and is designed to fit waists sizes 25” to 50”. The SPIbelt™ is also made right here in the USA; proudly in Austin, TX.
Although I have only used my SPIbelt™ when working out, there are so many more uses that this belt may be used for. The SPIbelt™ is great for travel, carrying medicine – such as an insulin pump (SPIbelt™ does make one specifically for those with Diabetes.), and I’ve thought about using it while garage sale-ing. It would leave my hands free to look at everything, yet keep my keys, money, and phone safely tucked away.
In addition to The Original SPIbelt™ several other versions are also offered. Via SPIbelt’s™ website, they also carry SPIbands™ – wrist & ankle pockets, SPI Messenger Bags™ – these carry iPads™, Kindles™, Netbooks, and much more. SPIbelt™ also offers a SPIbelt™ just for kids! They’ve also thought of our four-legged friends and have the SPIleash™ – a hands-free leash! I don’t know if it could get better than this.
Please check out SPIbelt’s™ website to see everything they offer. You can also find them on Facebook and Twitter. It’s great being a SPI!
Jenn, this is totally awesome! I love that it’s lightweight, yet can expand to hold a phone/ipod etc… This is something I really would like to have and also gift to my friends!
I love those kinds of belts / fanny packs…gadget, because when we have a day outing, I can’t stand to bring my purse or carry a purse! That way I can carry the most important couple of things you have to have on you.
hey Jeni & friends — this is cool and I am familiar with it. Although Spibelt is a decent product, I don’t use it personally as I have a different way of being rather “spy-ish” myself 😉
My patented PortaPocket was (independently) born about the same time Kim created her line, but I have nowhere near the help that she has(and hence the visibility) ..so that’s one reason why you may not have heard of my little problem solver as much, Regardless, it is here to make your life easier and works on more places on your body from thigh, calf, ankle, arm or waist and either under or over your outfit. You’ll find it more versatile since can go from the gym to the office to a night of the town without skipping a beat. It’s fancy or plain depending on you mood, and detachable, interchangeable and sweat/moisture resistant too. So comfy you’ll almost forget it’s there. see more if you like at http://www.portapocket.com
Cheers to you!
Hi Kendra, thank you so much for stopping by and saying hi. We always love hearing from our readers, especially ones who are very creative. Please keep an eye on your email as you should be hearing from me soon.
This belt is going to bethe next trendy thing to come along!!!!!!
Deborah, the SPIbelt is great! I can’t say enough how much I love it. In my opinion, every athlete should have one and even us non-athletes who like a distraction in the gym. I know I’d be lost without having music. I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t be doing the number of leg presses I am, nor walking the miles I am without my handy iPod being carried safely and protected by my SPIbelt.
Oh my husband would love the hands-free leash for walking our dog. Thanks for sharing.
You’re quite welcome Karen. I know I have my eyes on it too.
That is so neat! Truly handy.
The SPIbelt is great Kellie. It has changed my workouts greatly. I’m now able to move about more freely and yet have my music on to distract me enough from the laboriousness of the actual workout itself.
How smart – and so much less “mommy” than a fanny pack. I need this for when I travel.
md…there’s nothing mommy about the SPIbelt, other than saying “I’m a smart mommy for having this!” I have some travel coming up and yes, I’m wearing my SPIbelt when I do. It’ll be perfect for hold the important documents needed right before boarding a plane and I can keep a few bucks in it to pick up a snack if needed too. Let us know if you get your own SPIbelt.
i like this i need something like this also this would be great as a gift to anyone
This looks interesting. A nice way to have your things on you without them being bothersome or noticeable. I always have a problem sticking things in my pockets when I go out somewhere I don’t want to take my purse. Great idea.
Donna, the SPIbelt has so many uses. It’s very lightweight too. Even when I have it packed full, I don’t notice it on. I highly recommend the SPIbelt to anyone needing to be hands-free, but also it would make an excellent gift for the person who has everything. I know I have a few people in mind.
I love this. So much better that those bulky fanny packs. I enjoy learning about all the new stuff that ia coming out now a days!!
Becky this a bazillion times better than a fanny pack. There’s no comparison. The SPIbelt is so secure too. There’s no bounce or shifting to the pouch when I’ve been wearing it either. I primarily have my music and phone in it and have used it while clipping along at a good pace on the treadmill and other gym activities. Thanks for your comments.
