The Fourth of July is one of our favorite holidays, especially when Cadbury™ Ice creams, ice cream bars, party hats, friends, and family are involved. This year for the Fourth of July holiday we were out-of-town, and the kids were upset they were not able to spend it with family and friends. So my husband and I planned a late surprise Fourth of July gathering with family and friends for the kids.
Our Fourth of July celebration started early in the morning; the girls had a Cadbury™ Ice Cream High Tea Party to enjoy an evening filled with more ice cream bars, fireworks, friends, family, and fun. My girls all love playing dress up and acting like princesses-I knew they were going to have a blast.
Have you tried the Cadbury™ Ice Cream Bars, which are made by Blue Bunny? If not you’re missing out on a fun, yummy treat? Blue Bunny Ice Cream has joined forces with Cadbury™ Chocolate to form two new delicious ice cream bars; Royal Dark and English Toffee. Just imagine this, Blue Bunny creamy reduced fat ice cream in a Cadbury™ chocolaty coating. Pretty amazing, I know, and we were lucky enough to receive four boxes of Cadbury™ Ice Cream Bars:
- Cadbury® Vanilla Chocolate: Another fabulous treat with that creamy Blue Bunny reduced fat ice cream we all love, dipped in thick, rich Cadbury milk chocolate goodness.
- Cadbury® Caramello™: My favorite… How can one not fall in love with Creamy Blue Bunny reduced fat vanilla ice cream swirled with an amazing Carmel, which is, of course, dipped in the fabulous Cadbury milk chocolate goodness?
- Cadbury® English Toffee: Shawn (my husband) and his sweet tooth fell in love with the super yummy Blue Bunny reduced fat toffee ice cream, accompanied by beautiful thick layers of Cadbury milk chocolate, with toffee pieces to make things perfect.
We also received a super cute tea set and some excellent fascinations hats.
Let The Cadbury™ Ice Cream Bars ‘High Tea’ Party Begin!
With all this fun it was hard not to get our Fourth of July party off to an early start. The girls started asking for ice cream bars the night before; my husband wanted to me come up with some ice cream recipes for the party, and all I wanted was for them to fall asleep so I could sneak an ice cream bar. Hey, the Cadbury® Caramello™ was calling my name from the moment I received it. It’s all my favorite sweet things wrapped up in one perfectly portioned ice cream bar. Naturally, I waited for them to go to bed and fell asleep before I could sneak one. DARN IT!
On the morning of the Tea Party and our late Fourth of July celebration, my girls had me up at 6 am. Typically we sleep until at least 7 am if I’m lucky 8 am. They were ready to begin setting up for the tea party. They couldn’t wait to put on the hats, break out the tea set, and try some of the ice cream bars.
The kids were a little disappointed I made them wait before they began the tea party. So we decided to make some Citrus Tea Punch for the tea party, and our guests. It’s super yummy and very easy to make. I’m sure you will notice I included the recipe for anyone who would like to try this excellent Citrus Tea Punch Recipe. All I did different is add a slice of lemon on the glass to make it look pretty!
Finally, it was time for the pre-party to begin. I promised my kids; they could have a pre-tea party before everyone arrived. The kids had such a good time! My oldest daughter was trying to teach the younger kids how to be prim and proper. “Pinkies Up Ladies,” she would tell them. It was just too cute; there’s nothing I enjoy more than watching my kids smile and hearing them laugh.
I just realized that I have some SUPER goofy, and if that cheese grin in the middle isn’t worth 10,000 words I don’t know what is. I just love them; we had so much fun. I promised them they would taste test an ice cream bar before everyone arrived. Yea, I’m guilty of once in their life they had ice cream after breakfast. I have to give them credit; I had the ice cream bars sitting in the freezer for a few days, and nobody opened them. I cannot tell you how many times these three kids changed their clothes. I seriously couldn’t keep up lol.
Oh, and how could anyone play dress up and have a tea party without their loving older brother Skittles? I don’t think anyone does much in the house without him. While Skittles isn’t a fan of tea, he loves to dress up. Okay, maybe he’s not big on the big hats, but he sure does rock them. Hey, it’s part of living in a house with four girls. While dads at work the girls will play, and Skittles loves to play with his sisters! I’m pretty sure our kitty, Toothless was feeling left out. Don’t worry, rather than tea and ice cream bars we gave them a hot dog.
Finally, it is time to introduce the Cadbury™ Ice Cream Bars to everyone! Who’s ready for Cadbury™ Ice Cream Bars? Yea, I’m pretty sure every kid that could hear me came running. What a better way to cool off than with a fantastic froze treat like this? Everyone at the party loved the ice cream bars! We had a fabulous tea party and late Fourth of July celebration. The Cadbury™ Ice Cream Bars were a hit! I was a little surprised to learn that nobody at the party had tried any of them yet. Every adult and child at the party loved them, and I can guarantee Cadbury™ Ice Cream Bars have some new fans.
My kids have been so busy this summer; I am glad we were able to spend time doing what they love; having fun and spending time with the ones we love! I cannot tell you how many outfit all the kids changed into, or how many loads of laundry mom was stuck doing the following day. I can tell you every last second was worth seeing the kids smile and have fun. Thanks Cadbury for some much-needed fun! Cadbury™ Ice Cream Bars ROCK!!! Oh, and remember when you’re drinking your tea to keep those PINKIES UP Ladies!
It’s no wonder Blue Bunny knows ice cream, and what tastes amazing. They have been helping build memories since 1913! Happy 100 years Blue Bunny!
