I received this adorable box of goodies from ACTZ Cosmetics to try. They came in a white bakery box and the label read “skin candy & desserts.” I was quite curious as to what could possibly be inside. I quickly opened the box and an intoxicating smell engulfed me. Scents of pineapple and vanilla filled my nose. I understood the bakery box packaging, along with the labeling “skin candy & desserts.” It was a perfect description.
Inside I found four delicious yummies with which to indulge my skin.
I had a Cupcake Crumbles Sugar Scrub, an Iced Pineapple Soapy Cupcake, Pink Sugar Body Butter, and Nude Face Polish. It all came with a cute wooden spoon too.
I started checking everything out and getting set up to take a luxurious shower. I used the spoon to scoop some of the sugar scrub onto the lid. Next, I pinched off a bit of the Iced Pineapple Soapy Cupcake. You can use this both as soap and for shaving, which I did. I really liked it for shaving. This lathered up quite nicely. It also smells heavenly; very yummy. There is a warning on the back though; Do Not Eat! Soap! I had to chuckle. With the packaging and how yummy it smells, I kind of think the warning may be justified. Finally I grabbed the Nude Face Polish and was ready for some pampering.
The scrub was nice. It had a little lather to it and left my skin smooth. I was happy that I used this prior to the soapy cupcake, as the scrub helped to slough off any dead skin prior to shaving. I then used some of the Iced Pineapple Soapy Cupcake. This was not only as my primary soap, but also to shave. I love pineapple, so the smell was great. Between the scrub and this, my skin felt amazing afterwards; very smooth.
I now used the Nude Face Polish. This was a little new for me. I’ve never really used facial scrubs before. Yes, I’ve used the requisite apricot scrub that I think most females at some point in their lives use, but really nothing else. This face polish was interesting. I put about a quarter-sized amount in my hand and added a few drops of water. This was what the instructions said. I then started at my chin and gently massaged this onto my face. The Nude Face Polish by ACTZ Cosmetics is a natural product made without fragrance or chemicals. Therefore the natural scents of the salts and clays used are what you smell. The aroma is very natural and earthy. They liken it to a salty sea breeze; I would concur, but add the word very. The aroma is unique. It’s not bad, but earthy is a good description.
After my shower I used the Pink Sugar Avocado & Shea Body Butter. This was the perfect end to my pampering party. The body butter is very thick. The Pink Sugar is a light scent and was easy put on. I found it to be non-greasy and it absorbed into my skin with ease.
ACTZ Cosmetics products are sensitive-skin safe too. They are made without Parabens and hardeners. These products are also Phthlate-free and Nitro Musk Free. ACTZ Cosmetics is also Vegan and Fair Trade.
ACTZ Cosmetics can be found via their online store. In addition to the products I sampled, they also offer bar soaps, oils, and bath fizzies, along with many more items. Something I love about their site is their Bloopers page. We all make mistakes now and again and ACTZ Cosmetics is no different. Their bloopers though are your deals. Check out their Bloopers page, where you can find deals on mistakes that were made during production. Perhaps a scent was left out or a big bubble formed in a bar of soap. Whatever the whoops is, ACTZ Cosmetics doesn’t feel they can sell it as they normally would and so now it’s a Blooper. What a deal!
