Do you have a bath time routine for kids? Keeping them in the bathroom can often be a headache for parents, especially when you start thinking about the cleanup that comes after your kid’s bath time. However, if you develop an excellent bath time routine for children it can help kids stay squeaky clean, and you keep your bathroom clean. It’s a win-win for everyone!
Be safe – Of course as parents we want to make sure our children are safe while they’re in the bath. Younger children shouldn’t be left unattended while in the bath. Also be sure and check the water temperature to make sure it’s not too hot or too cold on their delicate skin.
Make it fun, yet productive for you – Bath time doesn’t have to be a drag, it can be fun for both you and the kids. I enjoy cleaning while the kids are in the bath. It makes my job more fun, and they still get to enjoy their bath time too.
Keep it productive, but for your kids – I know, fun and productive don’t go together. However, it’s important to keep things productive for you and your children. Do little things like adding bubbles, giving them a washcloth to play with, making up bath songs that involve washing, etc. Make it fun, but do you best to keep things productive for the most part anyway.
Take a bath with younger kids – If you have a little one then don’t be scared to jump in the bath with them and have some fun.
Don’t forget the bath toys – Of course there need to be bath toys. What would a bath be as a child without the toys right? Don’t forget them, lol.
Before bedtime – I’ve always found that a nice warm bath before bedtime is best and easiest for me as a parent to keep daily. Right, we are done cleaning up our dinner dishes, its bath time. When they get out, follow the same routine and get them in bed for a bedtime story.
Teach them how to take a shower – As kids get older it’s important to teach them how to take a shower. I’ve learned it’s easiest when they take one with you the first few times. A good sliding shower door also helps make things easier and keep your bathroom cleaner. Sterling Prevail has an awesome shower door with ComforTrack technology for your shower.
