When you live in the dessert the only green you see is the green you have is from your lawn and garden. If you want anything green, you have to water it yourself. Other than that it’s mostly brown dirt, dried up brown tumble weeks and brown dirt. I always look forward to fall because of the beautiful colors; at least the trees still change colors. There’s plenty of ways to, Find beauty in the Fall, but this year I want to try something new.
My husband is in the process of building us a deck, oh I cannot wait he should be finished soon. I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and I would love to have some big pots, color, and awesome flowers on my deck next to my new rocking chairs that are waiting for the deck to be complete as well. This year my Fall gardening plans are:
Get hubby to hurry and finish my deck.
- Buy some big pots
- Have colorful flowers this fall on my porch.
- Sit out on porch and enjoy the cool weather and colorful flowers.
So, what’s my plan to accomplish this crazy task? Beg, Beg, and Beg my husband to hurry up and finish the deck. If that doesn’t work start to work on the deck myself, lol. That always lights the fire and motivates him to hurry. I guess he is worried I might put the roof on the wrong side of the house… Next, I will visit the store and pick up some Mircacle-Gro Garden Soil. It’s ideal for flowers, veggies, and potted plants. It provides rich organic plant material, which works for up to six months. I think I can handle this, really I can. It’s going to look fabulous on my new deck. LOL, if I have to finish the deck not sure what that’s going to look like, but the flowers I am sure will look amazing, pots are a guaranteed.
I’ve been doing a lot of reading about keeping color in the fall months and have found tons of useful information on the Miracle-Gro Facebook page I’m looking forward to the orange, red, and yellow leaves falling, my new deck, huge pots and bright flowers. Thanks Miracle-Grow for helping me learn that I can have color even in the fall months.
