Keystone French Dip Sliders + “Beef Up Family Time Recipe Contest”

When it comes to making a quick and tasty meal for your family, it can be hard to come up with an entrée everyone in the family would enjoy.  Keystone Meats gives you a jump on putting your meal on the table in 30 minutes or less and it will be both delicious and easy.

Keystone Meats generously sent me 2 14.5oz cans of all natural beef for the purpose of this review.  This gave me the opportunity to experiment with some recipes that I have been wanting to try or dream up.

I have used Keystone Canned Beef in the past and the flavor is awesome. It has a rich flavor using sea salt and no water added to the process and the meat is very tender.  It is packed with 11 grams of protein per serving, only 70 calories per serving, no carbohydrates, low in sodium and low in fat making it quite healthy.

One of the recipes that I tried was French Dip Sliders which are super easy and 30 minutes or less and the flavor is perfection to say the least.  You can adjust the recipe to add or take away any ingredients you would like.  So, if you have a family member who likes onions but others don’t then the onions can be added to just the sliders that family member would eat making it so easy to cater to everyone’s special taste.

Keystone French Dip Sliders

Ingredients:

  • 1 14.5oz can Keystone All Natural Beef
  • 1 Medium onion sliced thinly, you can use a sweet onion here if you want
  • 1 Can French Onion Soup used for dipping sliders
  • 2 Tbsp Beef Base – I used part of the French Onion soup for this
  • 6 slices Swiss Cheese
  • 6 Slices Provolone Cheese but you can use any of your favorite cheese
  • 1 Tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 12 Slider buns sliced in half
  • 3 Tbsp Butter melted

Directions:

Butter sides and bottom of a 9 x 13 pan.  Slice slider buns in half and lay top portion aside for now.  Lay bottom half of slider buns into the buttered pan and layer 6 slices of your favorite cheese on top of buns.

Open Keystone All Natural Beef, drain (save some of the sauce for your dipping sauce) Shred meat and layer on top of slider buns evenly.

Cook onions over medium to high heat to tenderize them and layer over beef then add more cheese slices.  Place the bun tops over the cheese and onions.

Melt butter, add Worcestershire sauce, 2 tablespoons French onion soup, add some of the juice from the Keystone All Natural Beef can if you want instead of soup and add garlic powder and mix well.  Brush over buns and bake at 350º for approximately 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted.  Heat the French Onion Soup to warm and Dip your slider to your heart’s content. Serve with a salad or fresh vegetables and your evening meal is complete.  Warning though, you might want to use a fork to eat these YUMMY sliders!
