I was first introduced to Origami Owl – Jessica Sanchez, Independent Designer #29573 when I saw a breast cancer awareness fundraiser. Being a child of a survivor I am always interested in any way I can help. For the month of October they were donating 10% of proceeds from any survivor locket made for cancer research. Also Origami Owl were giving a pink ribbon charm free with any purchase over $30. I had to check it out for myself! Origami Owl Lockets are hand created with charms that you choose. The are a living memory in a necklace. Your favorite color, hobby, children, pets and oh so many more. These beautiful lockets are so much fun.
Jessica gave me the choice to choose my own or have her choose them for me. I love a little surprise so I asked her to choose for me. She asked me about my favorite color, if I had pets or kids and a few other questions about other hobbies. The fact that there are so many options to choose from I couldn’t even eenie meenie miney moe my way into a decision. I was extremely happy that she was so willing and excited to help me find the right charms. Kind of like having my own personal shopper.
When I received my package in the mail it was like a mini present just for me. This adorable pink Origami Owl box staring at me saying “open me”. I opened the box to be greeted by a small teal Chinese food box in which inside was my treasure.A medium locket with brilliant crystals around the face, a petite silver ball chain and 3 little charms to put in my locket. Included was a small green Chinese coin purse to store it in. How cute and fun!
The charms she sent me were perfect. She hit the nail on the head with a hammer. She sent me an emerald green stone. My favorite color and also my daughter’s birthstone. A black and silver dog paw with crystals on the toes because I have 4 dogs and a silver heart with the word “mom” stamped in it.. You open the locket and place your charms inside. My medium locket still has plenty of room for me to add more charms to it. With each item I add I add a new memory! Origami Owl has so many options to choose from.
