Lorena Canals has been around for 25 years. Founder Lorena Canals who the site is named has been in business for about 25 years but after 12 years ago refocused her collection towards children. They have baskets, washable cushions, blankets but their main seller is their washable rugs. Their products are stylish while being focused on being made out of the best raw materials and natural dyes that are safe for children. They have a portion of their proceeds from the mix collection provide schooling for children in India.

The styles of their products are great for children but are stylish enough to also fit any adult room. They are useful, natural, made of top quality while being fashionable which is always a plus. They come in different sizes, small, large, round or squared. The best part is that they can be washed in any standard washer and dryer. Most other rugs are made out of thicker fibers but are very tedious to maintain once stained. Let’s face it children are not the cleanest folks out there. They even have rugs that are reversible, how cool is that! They have plain colors, rugs with words, or with one of a kind design. They have such a large selection it would be pretty impossible to not find one to like.

I received the world map rug which was bigger than I expected and very soft.  It came in a bag to store or carry around. Although, it is thick it isn’t rough at all or heavy. My son loved the design and started a made up game of jumping on different parts of the world. I liked that it was soft but didn’t result in loose strands and it had a good shape. The dyes are natural which will vary depending on the colors from their site photos. But they are vivid, solid colors that are naturally produced that one can understand this slight difference. I liked that the quality of the material and colors were sturdy, even better than my current rug and much softer. The prints were all beautiful and the sizing was great, deciding on one style to review was a very difficult choice. I liked that I could just pop this in the washer versus having to vacuum the whole room. Much simpler. They do cost a tad bit more than typical rugs but they are softer, natural, handmade and are washable without losing its shape.
